Official 1 Year Post Op Visit
I had mine this afternoon. Even with my weightloos ground to a crippled crawl the doc says I am doing great. I only lost 10 pounds in the last 3 months. He just said keep it up! According to his scale I am down 122 from surgery so that averages over 10 pounds per month and that's not bad.
For a giggle I did bring my "sleep Pants." The one's I'm bring to Vegas. I wore them the night I came home from the hospital and they were tight. Anyway, I held them up and me and the doc could have easily climbed in To funny.
He did give me something for my insomnia....I've been taking NyQuil for months and months and while that gets me to sleep I'm up again in 3-4 hours and can't go back to sleep. So we will see if this does the trick.
He also ordered a thyroid panel to make sure it's still functioning properly. I have a condition called Hashimoto thyroiditis - basically I have an enlarged thyroid - it's very common in people with diabetes - and we have to watch it. So one the way home I stopped at the medical mall and let the vampires draw some blood.
We also dodged a bullet today. We were suppose to get hit with that awful storm that went through Oklahoma and northern Texas and get about 9 inches of snow but we only got a couple and it stayed pretty warm so the all the wet from yesterday didn't freeze up. So I ran around all afternoon doing errands, Doctor, Walgreen's, Medical Mall, UPS, Bank, Target to pick up last minute stuff for Vegas, etc. Whew! I'm pooped and I still need to do 30 minutes on the glider today:eyes;
Oh well, that's been my day. Oh yeah, I finally got my new iPod to work! Had to send the first one back it was DOA
I can't believe the sound on this little thing. I got the Shuffle 2nd generation which is about as big as a postage stamp and clips onto your clothes. Too cute
Ronna, looks like you had a good dr. visit today. You sure did a lot of running around. We're sitting here w/ a pot of hot beef barley soup waiting for the ice storm to hit. It has been in the mid-30's all day and the wind has picked up. We may not have school for a day or two. Congrats on doing so well.
