Hey ladies... best of luck on your PB diet. Buy a lot of cottage cheese and cook a lot of beans...I would have gotten sick of it w/o a little variety. I couldn't have just eaten meat and cheese for 10 days. I cooked split pea soup and pureed it w/ spam added for extra protein (just tasted like ham added), pinto beans, lima beans. I used to not like beans that much, but do now thank heavens. I don't usually eat plain cottage cheese, so I mixed in SF jello or take 1/2 c cottage cheese and mix in 1 pkt. True Lime (or plain lime juice) and 1 pkt. splenda. Taste's pretty good. Just give yourself some variety. Hang in there...you'll take the weight off if it's ready to come off if you stick to it! It was hard not touching carbs for 10 days, but you'll survive. Karla 337/181/150

Hey Karla Thanks you for the tips! I put pinto's in the crock pot last night before I went to bed and they are smelling really good. I don't like cottage cheese but I'm going to buy a small containter and try to mix it with something sweet like jello or true lemon. I'm up for a good challenge. You did such a good job with sticking to the rules for 10 days! Thanks again Kay

Count me in....but I have to start tomorrow since I have eaten breakfast that was peanutbutter toast. So......no salads? Like lettuce with chicken....... Wendy

When I mentioned the plateau buster diet to my surgeon's office they were not at all supportive. They said I needed veggies and fruits, just the right ones; for nutrition and to ensure my system was moving. I was told to up my protein thru shakes - which is in itself a low calorie food. Now having said all that...I've not lost in a long time. LOL. I have increased my protein as suggested and cut back on other things so I'm hoping to see big results next week, post AF.

Hiya Julie Thanks for telling me about Protein Princess. I use to peek on the Alabama board to check out her protein shake recipe's. She has the best ideas. Thanks for telling me about her pb diet. Her breaking her plateau and being 3 years post op gives me the motivation to stick to the rules. Take Care Kay
