plateau buster diet
Good evening ladies,
Hazel and I are starting the plateau buster diet tomorrow to get our weight loss movin again. So, if you want to join in and do it with us for the next 10 days, come on!
The only hard thing for me is not having salad for the next 10 days but I know I can do this! I'll weigh myself in the morning and post it when I post my menu tomorrow evening.
Here's the rules.....
How to break a plateau
#1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau
#2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day
#3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day
#4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of high protein foods, 5x a day
beef
pork
chicken
turkey
lamb
fish
eggs
low fat cheese
cottage cheese
plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?)
peanut butter
beans/legumes
You may also have:
sugar free popsicles
tea or coffee
sugar free soda
sugar free jello
broths/bullion
crystal light drinks
#5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!!
#6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily
Good Luck,
Kay
I had my surgery on the same day as you and have lost 106 pounds at this point, but have basically stayed the same since mid-October. Until I read some of the posts tonight by people who share Jan 2006 surgery dates, I thought I was the only one in the world who had "stalled"! It's so frustrating!! But after reading here tonight, I'm going to talk to my Drs. office this week, see what they think of the plateau buster plan and go from there. Just had my 1 year check-up on Jan. 5 and had blood work done....and I'm waiting to hear how that was. Thanks for the advice.....and for letting me know I'm not the only one out here that's stuck. My starting weight was 330.....and my goal is 195! Betty
