Good evening ladies Today has not been my day. First the scale pissed me off then my doc called with results of my ct scan. I have two small hernia's (2 1/2 centimeters) AND a cyst on my overy. I know hernia's are possible after this surgery so I wasn't suprised so I am more worried about the cyst. She talked about it like it's not a big deal but I am a DRAMA QUEEN so I freaked out! She said it's nothing to worry about! Should I schedule an appointment with my gyno. or what?! My one year appointment with my surgeon is on the 15th so I'm sure we will talk about the hernia's but what do I do about the cyst? Anyone have or had a cyst on there overies? What happened? What did you do? Usually in these types of situations, I would of ate an entire bag of Doritoes by now. I ate some pork skins instead. Salty I know but I thought no carbs and only 3 grams fat would be a much better choice. I know I could of done without. Thanks for letting me be a drama queen and venting! Kay

Hey Kay...You can be a drama queen when ever you want. Just to fill you in on cysts...They can self disolve without ever causing any problem. When do you go and see your gyno? Sometimes if they are bothersome they can be removed. I know it is easy for me to say not to worry but really just try....I am sorry you are having a bad day. Remember tomorrow is only a few hours away.... Sending hugs your way... ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

Thanks so much Chris. I just had my yearly pap in December and everything was normal. So when I asked my doctor should I go see my gyno again she said not unless I am having some discomfort or pain. She also said they can disolve on their own. I guess I really have nothing to worry about. She kept telling me it's no big deal but I needed reassurance from yall Thanks again, kay

Kay, I'm sorry you're not having a good day. As far as the cyst on the ovary, I've experienced from one extreme to the other. I had several that were painful, but dissolved on their own. When I was 21 I had to have an ovary removed because the cyst had gotten so large it had wrapped around my apendix & intestines..it's funny because that one didn't cause any pain at all. I never even knew that I had it. So, you never know!!! Hopefully yours will dissolve on their own. Kathy

Awww....Kay! I'm so sorry that you've been having a crap day. I've had cysts before, and like Chris said, most of the time they dissolve on their own. I did have one that had caused me quite a deal of pain because it burst, but they said it was okay and gave me some Motrin and gave me the heave-ho outta the ER. Hope everything turns out okay with your hernias. Keep us posted. April

K, I have had cysts before and they have just gone away. Just think on the hernias they could be your ticket to a insurance paid tummy tuck ? just a thought. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON TORI

Hopefully your cyst will go away. I've never had one before. Your hernias may be your ticket to a TT or lower body lift and help get it paid for. I kinda wished I had one or two to get insurance to pay for mine. ON the other hand, if you don't know when or if your having plastic surgery, you probably wouldn't want to have them. I don't think I do. I hope everything turns out well for you. Sorry for the problems. Karla 337/185/150

Kay, I'm praying for you. I have had many ovarian cycts. Sometimes they can be left alone and others require surgery. It's best to visit your gyno to see what they suggest. If the surgeon said it's nothing to worry about that is a good indication but you still need to seek an opinion from a gyno who might want to watch it and see if it grows or goes away on it's own. Sorry about the hernias what are the plans for them? Please keep us informed! Hugs, Julie whowillcontinueherprayersforyou!!
