Well I too am very happy I did this. I feel like a new person, but I do have a way to go..... Heaviest~278 July 05 Surgery~248 Jan 06 today~146 I gained 4 pounds (could be water could be food) Tomorrow.....Back to basic's I really need to lose 21 more pounds to be at MY goal.... ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

I weighed in at 186...wooo hooo!!! I was staying right at 190 but now it's moving again!!! I am hoping to lose 6lbs in 2wks to meet my almost 200lb loss by my surgery date...I'd love to be at 170 that would definately be 200 loss but I will settle for what I get. I am just so happy with how things have gone for me, I mean last year at this time I was so unhappy and physically unable to keep up with life. Good luck to us all in 2007! Hey Hazel! Happy New Year!! A year ago, I was so excited about my upcoming surgery. I NEVER questioned my decision. I was ready to go!! I'm proud of myself for making such a brave decision!! It totally changed my life and health. My heighest weight: 450 lbs... My surgeon told me to not gain weight and I ended up loosing 62 lbs. 1/05: 388 lbs. 1/06: 209 Kay

Hi Hazel, This past year has been someting. The surgery was a great tool for us. For me I have an added benefit over just losing the weight ... my little blessing. I gained 4 pounds this past week from last when I was down 2 pounds. Either way, I have now gained a total of almost 5 pounds in 13 weeks of pregnancy. according to the pregnancy calculator I am using, my gain is right on track. This calculator tells me that I will end up at about 215. I'd rather end up at about 210, but we will see. Hopefully, next year at this time I will have lost the pregnancy weight and be on track. My original goal was 180, I got to 189 before getting preggo. I wanted to wear a size 16 and am just now growing out of 12's and my 14's are pretty tight. so size wise I am where I wanted to be as far as goal goes. 1/1/06 312 1/1/07 194 1/1/08 180 God Bless! This time one year ago I was still waiting for my approval. I was approved for surgery on January 3, 2006. My highest weight was 287 in June 2005. My doctor had just put me on Meridia for 6 months even though he knew I was seeking WLS approval. On the morning of my surgery, I weighed in at 270. This morning I weighed 172. Officially, I am only 11 months out from surgery. I hope to hit 100 lbs lost by my one year check up on January 11th. 2006 has definitely been a Happy Year and I look forward to an even better 2007 for all of us! Susan
