Plastic Surgery??????????
I definitely have to have reconstructive surgery to get rid of the 2 giant blobs of skin/fat on my front. My arms could use it too, and boobs. A lower body lift will be 1st choice, arms 2nd, and boobs 3rd. I have already scheduled a consult w/ a great "body sculptor" in Houston, Dr. Lomanaco. His nurse told me my BCBS insurance isn't really good about paying for it. I haven't had rashes or anything hardly since surgery. I know I may have to pay out of pocket. I would love to get the lower body lift and arms done this coming summer. Boobs will have to wait. I know I can buy expensive bras, which is way cheaper than the surgery. I'll at least get the lower body lift done. I'm using my income tax refund, medical reimbursement insurance, and hopefully will get a few thousand from my wreck in October for "pain & suffering". I didn't want that money at fiirst, but am still having trouble w/ my shoulder, so I guess I'll take the money, and at least put it to good use. My consult is on February 5, so hopefully I'll be closer to goal then. I know I have to get rid of the carb monster to pick up the weight loss again so get to goal. The Lower Body Lift is about $14,000 and arms are about $6,000. I think boobs are around 5-6,000. My cousin has already seen this surgeon and showed me all the estimates and he talked to my support group at one of our meetings.

I am starting to bounce the idea around in my head about PS. I am looking into lower body lift, boobs and face done. I think I'll go for the boobs first, then face...I figure the lower body lift for later. I am considering going back across the border, since I had a great surgery with Dr. Aceves and there are two doctors that work in the same hospital and have a great reputation.
I've been thinking about it but don't know if I can raise the bucks. I really need to get my arms done they are the worst. Second would be a boob reduction and lift and third would be the lower body lift. Oddly enough that's the least - worst part.
I also now have a "turkey neck" which I would like to see about getting rid off. It's the skin left over from my very big double/triple chins
Oh well, we can always dream
Maybe if I get a good job after the holiday's I'll be able to save the money. We shall see.

I have been thinking about it also. I plan on asking my surgeon at my 1yr check up. I have been told by some of his other patients that he will not discuss it until at least 18 months out. I would like to loose about 15-20 more pounds beofe I get it done. I will need a TT. My "girls" have gone south and they need all the help they can get. My insurance SHOULD cover most of the cost.

Welllll, I just had my TT, BL, BA on Dec 11 recovering very nicely. No pain that the pills couldn't handle. I didn't ask my GB doc, I saw him in July and will see him in January. I just hit my bottom goal weight of 130 (I am 5-5) size 4 and figure I am not going to get any smaller, so why wait. He might be upset with me, I don't know. I have my thigh and arm lift scheduled for Jan 11th. I will see my GB surgeon on Jan 17 and see what he says. God bless your journey. J.Marie
