Roll Call

Good Morning!!! I thought I'd get the board moving today with a Roll Call. I am off to see the endocrinologist today. And hope to get the decorations on my tree. 1) What do you want for Christmas or Chanukah? 2) How much do you plan on spending this holiday? 3) What is your favorite family holiday tradition? 4) What is your favorite holiday memory? 5) What is your worst holiday memory? Here are my answers. 1) What do you want for Christmas or Chanukah? My ultimate gift would be a larger van. This is not happening so I will settle for something small and pretty. We bought a playset for the backyard so that took all of our budget. 2) How much do you plan on spending this holiday? Gasping ... way more than we should have because we bought the playset ALOT. It is one of those huge honkin' Rainbow playsets. We had grandpa kick in and help with the cost so we did not have to foot the whole bill, thank God! If we had not bought the play set we would have only spent about $500.00. 3) What is your favorite family holiday tradition? Opening one present Christmas eve. 4) What is your favorite holiday memory? Going to my Great-Grammy's house on New Years Eve. All the family ould gather there. We would sing and eat. Of course Santa always came. One year I played Santa and my brother and sister knew it was me. It was hilarious. 5) What is your worst holiday memory? We were very, very poor when I was growing up. My mom did the best she could with what she had. One year she bought me these pants and I threw a fit because I thought they were ugly. I was being a total brat and totally ungrateful. I made my mom cry and all of that horrible stuff. Later as an adult, I appoligized to my mom. She did not even remember it. It is funny that that has always stuck with me as one of those life lessons. God Bless! Jen and miracle #2

Hello Jen and "miracle" 1) What do you want for Christmas or Chanukah? ~ Clothes, shoes and a poodle.. got my baby already! 2) How much do you plan on spending this holiday? ~ Not as much as I usually do because we have started looking for our first house. My daughter actually didn't want as much as she usually does so that helped a lot. 3) What is your favorite family holiday tradition? ~ Christmas evening after dinner, we get in our pj's, lay on the living room floor and play games all night. 4) What is your favorite holiday memory? ~ Every year just getting all the family together is so fun! 5) What is your worst holiday memory? ~I seriously can't think of any. Morning Jen! I'm actually around this morning, yeah! Good luck with the doc today. 1) What do you want for Christmas or Chanukah? * So much has been given to me already... I feel weird making a list. But I was forced to... so I asked for an iDog, a cord to hook my iPod up to my car, and a radio that will play cds... the one I have now only does radio and its like 10 years old, so very staticy. I also asked for stuff to help with the trip to Vegas (road atlas, starbucks cards, lol) 2) How much do you plan on spending this holiday? * I've already spent it... I did about 100-150.... I was on a TIGHT budget. 3) What is your favorite family holiday tradition? * I love that our family gets together Christmas Eve at our church and we even perform. Of course I love the gifts on Christmas Day, but the Eve Ceremony is so sweet and tender and peaceful. 4) What is your favorite holiday memory? * I remember one year we got a basketball hoop from Santa. He left my sister and I messages (scavenger hunt) and we were running around crazily for an hour trying to find our present. It was hiding in the horse trailer right outside the house, but "Santa" had us going everywhere in our barn and rabbitry 5) What is your worst holiday memory? * Of course its a year I didn't get much he he. I was jealous I only got X amount of presents and my sister got more. What a dork. * But our first year without my Grandpa was really hard. We had a special rememberance for him and everything.

1) What do you want for Christmas or Chanukah? I want certificate for Fashion Bug, clothes and some stuff for the gym. 2) How much do you plan on spending this holiday? I think I had spent $300 this year, not bad. 3) What is your favorite family holiday tradition? Tamales!!! Luckily, I am Mexican so we have Tamales for Xmas dinner and it's great! Also, the fact we all get together at my dad's house is always alot of fun. 4) What is your favorite holiday memory? I can remember staying up late as a kid, and sneaking my head around the wall corner to try and catch a sneak of Santa Claus putting my presents under the tree. I also liked baking cookies and putting out Reindeer Food for Santa and the reindeer's, then to find it was all gone in the morning!! Gee, my dad put on some weight during those times...ha ha. 5) What is your worst holiday memory? My mom having biopsy for breast cancer a week before Xmas and then having to wait after Xmas to find out the results...that Xmas was very depressing. Worse, was when she found out she had the cancer and had to have surgery after the new year. Also, the first Xmas without my mother was very hard on us all, to be honest Xmas has never quite been the same and it's been 21yrs.

Hi Jen, I will play... 1) What do you want for Christmas or Chanukah? Nothing.....my husband and I will be going away in Feb/March..... 2) How much do you plan on spending this holiday?oh probably about $1000 I do not keep track but I do spend the same on each of my kids as well as give them the same number of gifts... 3) What is your favorite family holiday tradition? Spending Christmas day with my in laws...My father in law used to dress up as Santa and the kids would always say where did Grand dad go....Your Grand dad....He passed away four years ago but we all still get together too.... 4) What is your favorite holiday memory? I guess the above is the memory part.... 5) What is your worst holiday memory? I have no bad memories from Christmas but I DO have alot from growing up... ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

When I was a kid we would always go to church and then to grandmas 4) What is your favorite holiday memory? going to grandmas 5) What is your worst holiday memory? every holiday without my mom! Kelli I feel your pain. My mother was diagnosed with brest cancer and lost her fight. I know that it never gets any easier! Its been 26 yrs for me. May you all who have moms and get along with them please tell them how much you love them! You dont realize how much you miss and need them until they are gone. Truly count your blessings! Suzette

It might sound silly, but what I really want for Christmas is a day that I can do what I want and not have to think about what anyone else want's or need. I guess it sounds a little selfish as well, but I need it badly. 2) How much do you plan on spending this holiday I haven't kept track, but I know it wasn't as much as normal. 3) What is your favorite family holiday tradition? Basically it is just having the family together. Oh, and going out on Christmas Eve looking at lights. 4) What is your favorite holiday memory? When I was a kid, we always went out on Christmas Eve looking at lights. Dad always had some reason that he had to go back to the house before we left. Of course there were always presents under the tree when we got home. Then there was the year I thought I saw Santa, but it was just a "fat" lady in a red coat. It wasn't funny then, but it is hilarious now. 5) What is your worst holiday memory? Three years ago on Christmas Eve, Frostie had her first stroke. I am so thankful that Frostie is with us this Christmas. We have come so close to loseing her so many times over the last three months. Hazel
