In October I asked yall about IPOD's for my daughter's birthday and someone suggested an MP3 player because she was so young. I was undecided so I got her a new bike instead Well on her christmas list was a MP3 player or Ipod so I got the MP3 player. The only thing I know about this thing is that you download music to it! I was under the impression that you had to buy an I- tune card for it to buy music but the lady at walmart told me that that card is for Ipod's only. Now I'm really lost! How does she download music? What site does she download music from? Do I need to buy a certain kind of card for it. I know I probably sound clueless but I am Help me with this!! Her friends has one so she is familiar with it but I at least want to have a clue on what's going on. Thanks Kay

Santa Kay, I-PODs need music from I Tunes and that can cost you to down load from the net. I have a MP3 player from Wally world and just uploaded my cd's to the computer and transfered to my MP3 player. It is not difficult, I just followed the directions and prayed and it all worked out! Elf Teresa

If you have a credit card, you don't need an itune card. Just go thru buying the song and then register with the card, probubly will only need to do it once. Also you can load a CD onto the ITunes for free. So put the cd into the computer, a window will open and it will ask what you want to do, click on Itunes, then click the red circle thing in the upper right corner, it will load the cd into itunes.

Hi Kay, These new toys are confusing believe me. I had first bought myself a small MP3 player thinking that would do the trick, come to find out that if you go to Napster you're renting the songs and have to update within 30days or lose the songs, but if you dont mind changing your songs around then Napster is cool. I think you can get it for like $14.00 a month, also as others have stated you can upload songs from CD's onto the MP3 player as well. I decided finally to go with an iPod Nano cause I like iTunes and I want to keep songs not have to update all the time. I often ask for my bday or xmas for gift certs for iTunes. It just all depends on what you really want, I think if she is young an MP3 should be fine. I like the iPod Nano cause I keep the songs, it's small and it's convienent to work out with...but then that's just me. You can get a small iPod shuffle that is way cool looking now and it's about $80 at Best Buy and can hold up to 200 songs I think. Anywho, good luck and make sure she doesn't crank up the volume...gotta save those ears!!! Kelli
