Whatcha Eating on Sunday?
Howdy gang I hope everyone had a nice day and weekend. Mine has been a good one. I'm giving up my position as "menu poster" so if anyone is interested in keeping the thread going, feel free to take over tomorrow. I've enjoyed sharing my menu and hope I can continue to do so. I has truly kept me straight and keeps me accountable. When I want to "graze", I think of what I have to share with you all and think twice.
Anyway, my menu...
B~ Protein shake
S~ 8 pork rinds & 1 SF popsicle
L~ "Pure Protein" protein bar
D~ 1/2 c. healthy choice chicken enchilada soup and small salad w/ lite olive oil dressing.
Vitamins: on track
Water: 32 oz so far
Exercise: christmas shopping.
Have a great evening,
Kay
Hi Miss Kay! Aww...giving up your position?! I understand, and I'll post when I can. No one has been posting lately and I guess it's because of the holidays and everyone's busy. I had a busy weekend, and been on the move but it's been a lot of fun. Here's what I had:
B- cheese eggs w/ 3 sm. slices of bacon(haven't had bacon in a while!), 1/2 mini WW bagel w/some FF cream cheese
L- tunafish w/ 7 WW crackers, some cucumbers and drsg
D- about 2 oz. baked chicken, some broccoli, couple of nuts...either I ate too fast or something got stuck. Either way...it didn't feel too good.
S- Protein shake
S- Weigh****chers Carrot Cake snack...so small, cute, and good!
Exercise: 1 hr. at the gym
Vitamins: need B12
Fluids: 92 oz.

You should be able to find the mini bagels anywhere. They're made by Thomas'...like the english muffin Thomas' folks. They taste good, and it's just enough. I've been eating 1/2 a mini because I'm usually eating eggs or something with it, but I'm sure there's a day I'll eat a whole mini (like it's murder, or something) because I like to eat carbs before I work out or I get dizzy and lightheaded later in the day. Here's the nutrition breakdown:
1 mini bagel:
Cals 120
Total Fat 1g
Total Carbs 25
Fiber 4g
Protein 6g
So it's pretty healthy too. I put a little FF cream cheese or some lite margarine on top. Now....for the carrot cakes...they are so good! And they're just enough. They only have 80 calories and maybe 13 carbs. It's a good sweet snack, and I felt satisfied with that baby cake. You should pick some up!

I hate to see you give up your post, but I'll also post if I don't see it here when I go online. I know not many have been posting, but I know I do it so it will also help me have control since anyone who looks will see it. I still want to keep that up, so if no one posts, that will be disappointing, but okay since we do it for self-control. I'll sure miss you posting. I try to post everyday, but some days are just too busy.
Sunday's menu:
B: 4 mini-quiche
S: AchievOne Mocha Java
L: a bite or two of each, heavier on meat: ham, beef tenderloin, salad, garlic bread, rosemary potatoes, rice, 1 sugar cookie, 1 bite buttermilk pie, and 2 bites turtle trifle - it was my mom's birthday lunch
S: 1 choc. coated pretzel stick
D: 1/2 c cheeseburger chowder, 1/2 c tortilla soup, 1/2 c Texas Trash
S: Protein Hot Chocolate
vitamins: done
water: 92 oz.
exercise: arm weight work out and 30 minutes on bike in morning

lol @ texas trash. Please explain. It sounds interesting!
I hate to give up posting too but I'm just a little busy right now. Whatever I'm doing everyday, I stop and post. I've even come home just to post. Trying to be helpful.
The fact that people don't post their menu's just because they "think" they eat too much drives me crazy as well. In the beginning when I first started doing this, there was some judging of people's menu's and I think that is what did it. I have gotten emails from several saying they think me you and april are brave for being so open and honest about posting and they don't do it because they feel they eat more than everyone else. I see other boards share menu's and if they ate a twinkie, a snickers bar and a whopper, they tell it. I think that's how it should be. Not only post when you have had what you think is the "perfect" eating day. Were never gonna be perfect with food. That's why we had wls in the beginning.
Ok, this is turning in to a rant. I'll shut my mouth. Not fussing at you. Just explaining why I'm stopping for a while. If you continue to post, I'll appreciate it.
Kay
AMEN!!!! I don't give 2 turtle doves of what others eat. Posting helps me be accountable, and it gives me ideas on meals as well. Yes...many people "think" they eat too much, and some think they eat too little. This is your plan...not anyone else's. There are days when I eat too much of stuff I really should limit myself on. I pick up the pieces and move on with my life the next day. We have to remember there's no "bad" foods. It all depends on how you handle that food. I still eat fried chicken, french fries, cake, pie,cookies....I just eat less amounts, and less often. And you know what...I don't feel deprived whatsoever, and I'm still losing weight. My dietician told me I was doing a great job with my eating and my food choices. I was honest with her, and she told me she was glad that I was eating those things that I had before surgery. If I see myself getting outta control then I'll have to smack myself, but for now...I have a smile on my face.
And Texas trash.....wow.
