Baby Update
I had another ultra-sound today. The baby is doing great, "he" has a fast strong heartbeat of 157 beats per minute. I got to hear the heartbeat and see it on the ultra-sound screen.
I have one small problem in that the placenta is separated from the wall a bit and there appears to be a small amount of bleeding internally. Except for being tired, I feel fine.
My diet is to be "balanced" in 3rds - protein - veggies/fruits - carbs. She wants me to gain about 15 pounds and eat a 2000 cal per day diet right now. I am to focus on the quality of food rather than measuring grams and all of that junk, she does not want me counting or totalling numbers, just eat healthy and stay away from sugar ans cig smoke b/c that could further complicated the placenta issue.
God Bless!

Jen and "son" congrats and thanks for keeping us updated. I am sure emotionally you will having a rough ride...Just to go from losing weight and now to try and gain I am sure it will take a toll on you. I am so happy for you and your family and can tell just by the yyping/writing just how happy you are. Congrats again!
~~hugs and well wishes~~
Chris
Hi Chris,
I am going to try not think about the losing/gaining game. The more I think about it the more head games I play with myself. I am going to eat when I am hungry. I will be doing frequent small meals/snacks.
During my pregnancy with Grace, my hubby was activated to go to Iraq and he left to go to a base in TX during my last trimester. That was emmotional hell. He never left TX but things were a mess for a while.
He will be here for this pregnancy so that should help some. He is doting on me and you better believe I am going to let him
God Bless!

You say HE?? Is that your wish? Or your motherly instinct?
I'm praying it's a boy too!
I am also praying for your health and your miracle baby!
Eat lots and lots of healthy food!
Is the bleeding a concern?? Is there anything they can do or that you should do?
I've never heard of that before so I'm just asking.
Keep us updated. You'll be in my prayers daily Jen until "he" is born healthy!!
Hugs,
Julie
Hi Julie,
I only said "he" b/c I had a dream that this baby was a boy.
I'm trying not to be too concerned about the bleeding. God gave me this gift and He will see me through. I read about it on the internet last night and it seems that my symptons are very very minor compared to some of the cases I read about yesterday.
The doc said I should take a baby asprin, stay away from cig smoke and sugar. That would all help the blood not be so sticky and hopefully let the placenta reattach. I guess, the whole thing is a little confusing to me.
I made a piece of french toast with my omega egg this morning. Had a glass of high protein milk and am going to go make a blueberry shake, yummy!
God Bless!
