Birthday Bummer
I don't know what is worse - the 'fantasy' surrounding a birthday or the 'fantasy' surrounding the holidays. In my case, I get slapped upside the head twice in December.....today with my birthday and three weeks later with Christmas. I wish I could be realistic about all these 'dates' and be comfortable with the fact that people 'care' - but not in the same way as my 'fantasies'.............
Oh well, there is always 'next year'......maybe my 52nd birthday will live up to my dreams..........at least unlike in the past, I can't 'eat' myself into oblivion - LOL

I'm sorry your birthday has been a bummer!
I know mine is the day after New Years and people are so busy with the holidays they almost always forget. My mom was always bad about putting back a present from Christmas. I never got a present as a child that wasn't wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper. And it was almost always the one gift I asked Santa for.
My brothers and sisters got what they wanted... I had to wait until my birthday.
She's still mean, now she doesn't even call me on my birthday. What kind of mother does that?? Mine!
Oh well, Thank GOD I have a loving husband and children who never forget and love me no matter what! And Jesus loves us!!!
I hope next year is better for you but I also hope you have an awesome CHRISTmas as Jesus is the reason for the season and we should celebrate all he has done for us.
He sure has changed my life!!!
May God Bless You, Rose
Happy Birthday
Hugs,
Julie
