Drama at the MVA...

On Saturday I went to have my license re-done. I am flying to Michigan this weekend to visit my best friend for my birthday. Now since I'm flying with an ID from last year, I didn't want to run into any problems at the the airport. Now my license has been questioned several times in the past because it just doesn't look like me anymore (except maybe a little in the eyes). After about 3 1/2 hours of arguing with them, my husband (who is a cop) drove to Bel Air and he started throwing out Maryland Regulations at the supervisor that when a persons appearance changes drastically (as mine is) that the State of MD requires that a new license be issued. I explained to them that I didn't want to have any probelms flying next weekend, and I think the supervisor couldn't get it through her thick skull that this was not a vanity issue of me wanting a new license. I finally got my new license, but what a complete pain in the ass!!! Have any of you had your license redone yet? Here are the before/after of my license pictures.. you decide... Hi Susan, So sorry you had such trouble with them. I haven't had my photo re-taken but I definitly need to. I was thinking next May on my birthday I'll go since I look nothing like mine. You also needed to have yours re-done. You like nothing like old picture. You look look wonderful, keep up the good work. Carly

Susan, I haven't had mine redone yet although I should. My neighbor is a Trenton City LEO, and he almost didnt recognize me a few weeks ago. He thinks I need to get a new one much sooner than at my renewal date. So sorry MVA is such a PIA. RobinNJ

I have not had mine re taken yet. I just traveled from IL. to Vegas and San Diego by air.. only one person even questioned it at all. What I found out is that the airport personell really pay attention to the ID's they look at. Anna

Other than hell, the MVA is the worst place to be! They're lazy as hell and never wanna help. And I'm not in love with the place I work at either, but they could at least pretend like they are 10% okay with being there. You look very different from your old pic! I haven't gotten any questionable stares yet (because they're not really looking), but I'm sure it's nice to have! April

You really needed yours redone. Heck you look like your daughter in the new picture. I hate DMV workers. I think being an idiot is a prerequsite for employement.

Yes...no doubt the drama at the DMV was a royal PITA for you but...WHOO HOO...LOOK AT YOU!! Your new photo is GORGEOUS!! License photos are notoriously hideous but yours is absolutely fabulous!!! Congratulations on your amazing success! Hugs, Jersey

WOW!!!!!!! I have to renew mine in Mar. but wont be in town. I am not sure how to go about getting the new photo without paying twice for a new CDL. Because of the trucking part, it is more to renew and replace. But I really need to do it too.
