ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS DISCOMFORT?
Hi guys....First let me start by saying I see my family doc tomorrow and will ask him/My surgeon next week. About a month and a half ago I started with some discomfort in my stomach but it only happen when I drank. I was not very good at taking my Zantac which my doctor perscribed for 1 year. I know I was wrong!
Anyway at my support meeting on October 25th I mentioned it to the doctor's wife...She is his Nurse manager...she said it sounded like it could be an ulcer and to call the doc in the morning. I was honest and told her about skipping the medicine and she was concerned over it. I asked her what if I started faithfully taking my meds and see how it goes and she said it was up to me. I started taking them every day and felt better for about a week. I never called the doctor and the pain/discomfort continues. It is just below my sternum....I can't describe it as actual pain (it's not severe) but when I eat I have no pain at all. Just when I drink and sometimes when I am not eating or drinking. I do plan on asking both my doctors and was just wondering if anyone else is having any discomfort?
~~hugs and well wishes~~
Chris
Hi Chris-Im sorry to hear your not feeling well-I havent experienced what you are describing but I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I hope your doctor can figure out what is causing it so you can get back to feeling normal again : ) Please let us know the update when you find out-Take care of yourself-Lori
Hey Chris
Sorry to hear about your discomfort. About 5 months ago I started feeling a little discomfort on the upper right side of my stomach... kinda like a burning feeling. I talked to my doctor and surgeon and they said it was acid. Doc prescribed Nexium and it did ease it but now I have noticed that it sticks out a little and it feels tight. I went back to my doctor a couple weeks ago and she said she thinks it's either a ulcer, hernia or scar tissue. I have a ct scan on the 6th and I am a little worried. I am scared it's gonna be something serious. Like you, I cant describe the pain.. it's just discomfort.
So yep, you are not the only one. Hopefully on the 6th, I can find out what it is.
I hope you find answers,
Kay
