Tuesday Roll call for a slow board...
Ok...Today is another slow board day and thought I would try roll call again to get people chatting. Hope I can come up with good questions....
1) does your significant other help out around the house and if so what do you prefer them to do? (if you could choose)
2) What is the one food you feel "not guilty" treating yourself to since surgery?
3) what is your food weakness and does it make you sick now?
4) do you exercise less now than just post surgery?
5) What was/is your one wow moment that you will never forget?
have fun~
~~hugs and well wishes~~

My replies:
1) does your significant other help out around the house and if so what do you prefer them to do? (if you could choose) yes John does alot around here and he treats me like a princess. He always makes sure I eat and cooks. I prefer him to be the cook!
2) What is the one food you feel "not guilty" treating yourself to since surgery? for some reason I don't feel guilty eating one bag of 100 cal packs of cookies.
3) what is your food weakness and does it make you sick now? ice cream and cake and both make me sick.
4) do you exercise less now than just post surgery? I was really good in the beginning walking 2 miles a day and since the cold has come I have been less willing to force myself to walk. I do have a treadmill and will start walking again today I hope....
5) What was/is your one wow moment that you willnever forget? My husband drives bus for handicapped kids and last Wed he asked me to meet him and the kids and teachers for a Thanksgiving day lunch being put on for the kids. When I got up and showered and dressed (I put on jeans and a sweatshirt) John said your not wearing that are you? What about your black sweater you just bought? I realized at that moment he wanted to show me off and not just have me come to lunch.(Thats when I realized he was proud of me...even though he tells me everyday) I thought it was touching....
~~hugs and well wishes~~

Hey Chris,
Thanks for the post, I was having a slow afternoon at work and needed a distraction for a few minutes.
1) does your significant other help out around the house and if so what do you prefer them to do? (if you could choose)
~Not much, he works at least 12 hours a day.
2) What is the one food you feel "not guilty" treating yourself to since surgery?
~Hmmmm....a treat with no guilt? Don't think I have one, unless you count protien balls.
3) what is your food weakness and does it make you sick now?
~So many weaknesses...Pizza is the one that remains that I can still eat. I loved pie and cheescake and ice cream before but now they make me sick.
4) do you exercise less now than just post surgery?
~I have always hated to exercise and unfortunately still do. I struggle with this every day.
5) What was/is your one wow moment that you will never forget?
~Last week, we were out and I went up to sing Karoke and a girl that used to hit on my husband and worked with my daughter was in the audience. She looked up at me and her mouth dropped wide open, I just waved and mouthed "hi". I was really saying inside, "how do you like me now"? My husband never thought she wa****ting on him even though the rest of us could see it, he didn't find it as amusing as I did!

Hi Chris
OK I'll play:
1) does your significant other help out around the house and if so what do you prefer them to do? (if you could choose) No significant other right now.
2) What is the one food you feel "not guilty" treating yourself to since surgery? Sugar free chocolate
3) what is your food weakness and does it make you sick now? Pizza - I can eat 2 small squares and I'm OK. But I've only had it twice since surgery
4) do you exercise less now than just post surgery? I excersise much more now. Right after surgery I could barley move, couldnt even stand for more than a couple of minutes without severe pain in my back. So doing 30 minutes of excersie on my glider is amazing.
5) What was/is your one wow moment that you will never forget?
In August my "big" cousin was in town. I had seen him at Thanksgiving time last year and this was the first time he saw me post surgery. He actually cried when he saw me and hugged me so tightly I could barely breath. It was so nice to see some so happy for me.

1. He is a great help around the house. He is on disability (he has Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) so he is home all day. He deals with all the 'icky' housework stuff that I hate.
2. Popcorn - LOL
3. Pizza. I makes me terribly ill
4. Way less
My BowFlex is just sitting there gathering dust so my DH can use his 'dust cloth' - LOL
5. Buying a size SMALL...........I was a small once.....for 30 seconds on my way to a 3X - LOL
