STUCK AT 100 PUUNDS LOST!!!!
Hi everybody. I have lost 100 lbs. since my surgery last 1/20/06.. Went for my check up on nov. 16th and the Doc said I am doing great. the thing is I have only lost 20 lbs., since August, but the surgeon still says that is good. i am really at a standstill and am getting really scared. have any of you experienced the same?
The surgeon said that after losing a certain large amount your loss levels off and you may even gain a few lbs., then you will start losing again. have any of you experienced that?
My weight loss has been such a wonderful thing, but I am always scared that the weight will quit coming off. i have about 40 lbs., to go.
I hope all of you are doing great, I miss being on line a lot, but I am so busy with the house, my grandchildren and all. I think of all of you often.

Rosemary, you've done wonderfully! Don't forget that surgery was only 10 months ago, and it sometimes takes people 18 months or so to lose all the weight they wanted. The weight won't be coming off like it did in the beginning. Also, I've lost only about 20 lbs. since August as well, but I've lost alot of inches. You may have lost inches instead of lbs. Other than that, keep up the good work and just remember you're still pretty early in the game!

Hey Rosemary!!
I'm EXACTLY where you are. Lost about 100 pounds....only lost about 20 since August and have about 40 pounds to go.
I really think that protein, exercise and water is the key (I need to start keeping a log of this). I can tell when I don't get it all in. And to top it all, I had knee surgery 2 weeks ago, so that has slowed me down a bit, too. I've had a problem with my knee swelling, so I can't stay on it for very long at a time before having to ice it down again.
I do just try to remember that it has only been 10 months....it's not coming back on, and I know what I need to do to change it!!
Hang in there...you can do it!!!
Hugs,
Dianne
