Roll Call For A Slow Sunday Afternoon

Hi Everyone I promised that I would post on the weekend to try and pick things up a little. So here is my offering. 1. What one thing do you hope you get for Chrismas/Channuka? 2. Here are my answers: 1. What one thing do you hope you get for Chrismas/Channuka? Clothes or gift cards so I can get clothes. 2. What one thing do you hope you DONT get for Christmas/Channuka? Food. Don't want any fancy stuff around the house so I won't be tempted. I have one cousin who always sends gormet carmel apples. I'm hoping he does something different this year. 3. Have you finished your holiday shopping? I am all done. All the gifts are spread out on the dining room table in boxes waiting to be wrapped. I've even gotten all my holiday cards done and have started sending some of them out. (Thanks Chris for the inspiration). 4. Any special plans for the holidays? We will be going to brunch on the 17th to celebrate Channuka. My brother flies in from Houston on the 15th so he will be here for the holidays. On Christmas day we will be at my cousins home - his wife celebrates Christmas and the house is all decorated and we always spend the holiday with them. For New Years Eve, we usually just rent movies and stay in to avoide all the weirdos on the roads tht night.

Hi Ronna! 1. The one thing I want for Christmas is to have Chris come home. There is a small chance that he will be flying home. (Please keep your fingers crossed for us) 2. I have to agree I dont want food for Xmas! Wayyyy to tempting! 3. I have started shopping but no where near done! 4. I am hoping i can pick Chris up at the airport, but otherwise on Xmas Eve morning I am going down to see my maternal grandma (weather permitting) and then that night going to go and see Chris's parents. Xmas day have lunch with paternal grandma and the whole side of that family and then that night either going back to Chris's parents or up to my aunts. Whew I am worn out thinking of it! I cant wait to see some family members since they havent seen me since the surgery. Should be fun! Sending hugs to you all! Suzette

Hi Ronna, I am here and planned on doing your weekend challenge but I am not feeling well. I woke up with a headache and feel nauseated so I think it is a migrane..I do not get them often but they usually tie me up for the day. 1. What one thing do you hope you get for Chrismas/Channuka? I too want gift cards or clothes or money.... 2. What one thing do you hope you DONT get for Christmas/Channuka? food! or large/xlarge sizes of clothes.... 3. Have you finished your holiday shopping? No but I am getting there... (I got my first 2 cards the other day...One from Robin and the other from Robin aka: Jersey Mom...How weird is that?) 4. Any special plans for the holidays? We are going to my sister in laws for dinner and gift exchange. We take turns doing the holidays and we did thanksgiving so Christmas is hers. We get it next year. ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

Hi Ronna: this has also been a very long Sunday for me. 1..For Christmas The main thing i want is for all of my family to be together, I think that will happen and I saw a lovely back massager that you put in a chair at the local K Mart, it was lovely and gave the best massage I have ever received, told Hubby about that one. 2. Don't want a lot of junk food around, although it's not bothering me right now I think of other holidays. 3. Started shopping but I have a lot to do yet, but I love it. this year is so much easier for me with the weight off. 4. I have every holiday here at our house, including the summer ones. my husbands family are all deceased and my parents are also gone. We have our children, grandchildren, every bodys cousins nephews and neices and friends, a whole house full, and we love it. Sending hugs back to you, Rosemary

1. The one thing I hope I get for Christmas is 'jewelry. My husband gets me a nice piece of jewelry every year - but money has been 'tight' this year. 2. I hope I don't get clothes. My sizes are changing so fast that I can't do 'clothes' justice. 3. I haven't even started yet. I am notorious for procrastination (sp). 4. We will be driving from Pittsburgh, PA to Mitchell, SD to spend the holidays with my dad and sister. It is a LONG trip - especially with 90+ pound dog; but we will have a marvelous time. I finished my outside lights about 6:00 p.m. tonight and am POOPED.........but the yard looks GREAT. Rose from PA

1. What one thing do you hope you get for Chrismas/Channuka? gift cards or $$$. My MIL usually buys me some kind of something that I can't or don't want to use and I take it back or give it away. I keep asking for $ or gift cards, but she doesn't listen well. My mom always gives us $$$, then we split it or buy something for the house or use it for a trip, etc. My husband usually gets something I ask for, and I already helped him pick out a James Avery gold charm bracelet, so I know what I'm getting. 2. What one thing do you hope you DONT get for Christmas/Channuka? food or clothes. At this point, I need to pick out my own clothes and don't want someone else doing it because if it's not stretchy or knit, it doesn't fit my big gut! 3. Have you finished your holiday shopping? Yes, already have pretty much everything and it's wrapped and under the tree. 4. Any special plans for the holidays? We have Christmas w/ my mom on the Saturday before Christmas here in town. On Christmas morning we go to my MIL's for my husband's family Christmas. On the Saturday after Christmas, we go to Katy, TX to my brother's for Christmas w/ my dad. We were supposed to go camping as a whole big family, but my stepmom wouldn't budge on where she wanted to camp, and it was very inconvenient for the other 3 families involved, and it just all got cancelled. I dearly love my sweet, sweet, stepmother! Have a very merry holiday season, everyone. I have my Bunco Christmas party here Wednesday, a group of friends coming over Friday for supper and gifts, and my Sunday School class party at my house next Sunday evening. It will be a busy week. I was dumb enough to volunteer to work the concession stand at the basketball games tomorrow. Maybe I'll work off a few calories. Karla

Any special plans for the holidays? ** Right now we're planning Christmas Eve with my family at church for our Eve Celebration... then Christmas Morning with my imediate family, dinner at my Aunts and presents from the bigger family. Depends on my work schedule if I get to see T or not
