I will survive Thanksgiving!!!!!
I have my cornbread baked for the stuffing and now I have 2 pumpkin pies in the oven. It's starting to smell like Thanksgiving.
I still have the crustless SF pumpkin pie to bake as well as the sweet potato pone from my husband's granny's recipe.
If the smells don't get the better of me I will survive!!!
My house smells so-o-o-o-o good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm cooking right now, too with my son's help. I'm not sure how good my house smells, because we're frying 7 turkey breasts and I'm baking. I made SF cranberry relish this morning and have 2 SF pumpkin pies in the oven right now. I am going to make a SF/LF peanut butter pie in a little bit. That's all I have to do other than finishing up the turkey breasts. 2 are done and 1 is in the fryer, but that still leaves 4 to go. It'll make for a long day. Laundry is almost done, sheets changed, and all cleaning I have left is the hall/living room floors, which I will do right before my husband gets home and most of the cooking is done.
This morning I went to my dr's medispa and had my upperlip and sideburn hair lasered off. I will be face hairless before long. My hair was all white, but I hated having it. I also took my son to take his driving test and he passed and drove me home. I guess I won't get to ride w/o terror for the next 7 months until he gets his real license.
Happy turkey day,
Karla
My mom has insisted that "for her" it just isn't Thanksgiving without candied sweet potatoes. I mentioned that she wasn't supposed to have all of that sugar either and she said she would eat "just a little bit". So now I have to make candied sweet potatoes that my mom will probably be the only one to eat because there is going to be so much other food.
And then she wonders why she can't get her blood sugars under control. I love my mother dearly but she drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for letting me vent I feel better now.
