Santa Claus is Coming to Town! :-o
I'm trying to catch up to Chris, so I finished most of my Christmas decorating this weekend. I have up my 2 big trees, and my bedroom and bathrooms are decorated as well as kitchen. I have a really large Santa collection, and love pulling them out of the tubs and boxes and remembering what I have. I have traditional decorations in my living room, and western decorations and Cowboy Santas and snowmen in my Den, which is decorated in a western theme for my husband. All we have left are the outside lights and decorations. We'll finish that over the Thanksgiving holiday while my husband is home.
I wrapped all my gifts last night and today after church, and took my regular China out of the china cabinet and cleaned it and loaded it with my Christmas Spode china. I just love Christmas stuff! Unfortunately, my husband and son don't share my enthusiasm for Christmas decorations. My son says when he inherits the Christmas china and the santas, he's selling them off for the $$$! I told him I'll haunt him if he does.
Happy Holidays,
Karla

I'll share your Xmas enthusiasm with you! I love christmas. You house sounds like my mom's house. She has collected santas since she got married (41 years ago) She has collected every santa you can think of.. rapping santa, country santa, fishing santa, chinese santa, break dancing santa.. omg, I could go on forever.
I said I was going to decorate the day after Thanksgiving but I'm ready now.

Yes, Kay, I love my Santas, and do have a variety too, like your mom. Most I've bought since I got married 19 years ago, so your mom probably has more. I probably have 100 or so, little to fairly big. My oldest one was my grandma's that she bought from a door to door salesman when I was probably a baby. He has a velvet suit and lookes his age of almost 50! He's still my favorite. She gave it to me and her house burned down a couple of years later, so I'm glad he didn't burn w/ it. I always think of grandma when I put him out.
