Hi Debbie, Nice to meet you, come out more often. I have the exact opposite problem I'm always getting sick & nausau. I really on ginger pills or a prescribed anti-nausau medicine daily. I know it'll get better over time. Carly

Hi Debbie, I had the same problem and asked my surgeon at my last post op visit. He said it's normal not to be able to throw up at this stage after surgery. The pouch is too small and there isn't a lot to throw up. He said as the pouch gets bigger over time, the "ability" to throw up will return, however, it will never be like it was before surgery because the pouch is so small. The few times that I've been sick, I get dry heaves and the "foamies", but nothing significant. I will admit that when I have eaten too much or get nauseous for no reason, I want to throw up and try to make myself, but nothing happens. My doc prescribed anti-nausea medication for those times when the nausea is just overwhelming. Good luck. Kim

Thanks Kim that makes sence. My husband makes fun of me now and tells me........why do you eat at all, everytime you eat you say your stomach hurts. Why not just say your stomach hurts and never eat. He was only joking of course.
