Reach goal, and??
Has anyone reached their goal and are still loosing? Anyone worried they wont stop loosing? I am 18 lbs from medically normal weight and I am still loosing 10lbs a month, consistantly. So that means in 2 months I could be under weight. Just wondering if others have done something to stop the loss or if it just stopped.
Kristi,
This is so interesting to me. I am not even close to goal. I have 70 lb.s to go and quite frankly I really wonder if I will get there. My goal isn't even as low as the charts say I should be. I am ok with that, it's just interesting to me the different places we are all at and the different places we all started at. Good luck to you.

Hi Kristi,
I am now 8 pounds below my surgeons goal weight for me. I am still loosing and am 14 pounds from medically normal weight and BMI. I spoke with my surgeon about my concerns of loosing to much weight. He seems to feel confident that our bodies know when to stop loosing weight when we get to the weight our bodies are ment to function at. Like he told me, if I am following all the guidelines for eating proper well balenced meals and not picking up any strange eating behaviors that will hurt me, my body will know when to stop. Like you I am waiting to see if I stop loosing weight when my body gets to a normal BMI.
Kristi, I've been at goal for a while now. Actually 7-8 pounds below and I've been below the normal threshhold BMI for a while, too. I've been maintaining for about 2-3 months now. I basically eat what I want, while still paying attention to getting my protein in, but quite a few carbs have creeped back into my diet. I do workout 4-5 times/week fairly intensely, so I'm sure that helps maintain my weight. As someone else said, the closer you get, the slower it gets. I was only losing about 5 pounds/month for the final 2 months of loss.
If concerned, though, definitely talk to your doctor and see what your nut suggests.
