My secret pal bought me a lovely plate with the saying sing like no one is listening....so on and so forth very beautiful... Well my husband bought me the cd from the Dixie Chicks and the one song is Lullaby and is so beautiful...I have been singing alot and playing the cd especially the song over and over. Well my daughter who can sometimes be a brat... she get's it from me... anyway she was making fun of me because I do not know all the words but I love it and sing like no one is listening....And then I told her to stop making fun of me because it was mean and she should read my plate and sing like no one is listening and my other daughter then said well if you want to sing like no one is listening perhaps you should by your listeners some ear pugs...How mean..but they couldn't stop laughing...I still want to sing like no one is listening though and who cares if it is good or bad? ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

My Mom tells me that when I could hardly talk yet I said "don't sing mommy" and she never has since. How sad. I have my faire group and we sing, some sing real bad, but they are encouraged to sing with everyone. Singing is the voices of angels, how sad someone made fun of yours. My kids have done the same thing. I stopped performing when I was 17 because my bestfriend said I sang thru my nose, it was almost 15 years before I sang in from of people again.

I LOVE to sing! And no, I don't sing well- don't ask me to sing female parts (my voice is too low for it he he.) I sing best with the guys.... right now its me and John Legend. I play his cd 24/7 and know it all. My sister makes fun of me too when I don't know all the words Young girls can be so mean Your girls sound awesome and keep belting out those tunes!

I agree sing no matter what!!! I LOVE to sing all the time-I sing in the shower, in the car, to my son at bedtime(hes 7 and I am suprised he still requests me to) I love music and I cant help but sing when its on-Im fortunate because my son always tells me he loves how I sing, unfortunately for him he has had friends tell him he cant sing so he has gotten discgouraged and stopped singing like he used to-Ive told him it doesnt matter what others think, if he likes to sing he needs to sing......... Take care and keep singing!!! Lori

Chris, Sing away!!! I love to sing as well. Sometimes I am better than others. I will hook up the Karoke machine and sing all by myself. I do like to go out on weekends and sing Karoke at a local bar too! I sing all the time, just ask my Dog! Silly girls! I bet they like to sing too. Leeanne

Awww, Chris: Your daughters sound like a hoot and, honestly, it sounds like something I would say to my Mom (just to bust her chops, though! We have that kind of relationship). I used to be able to sing...but not anymore! Not sure why! When my niece was a baby, I sang her to sleep every weekend (she slept over every weekend). She would NOT go to sleep unless I sang to her and, let me tell you, it made me feel like a million bucks. I thought it would be the same with my son. Well...it isn't! About 6 months ago, I was still rocking my then 17-month old to sleep every night. And I would sing to him. One night, however, while I was singing, he took his pacifier out of his mouth AND PUT IT IN MINE! I SWEAR it was to shut me up. He continued to do this every time I would sing to him at night. Yes, I laughed my heiny off then and am laughing at the memory now. But I still sing as though no one is listening...except when my son is around! I feel your pain! Hugs, Jersey
