So I did it, I went into the store I talked about yesterday that I hadn't even dared to enter. I'm tellin' ya, by the time I was done I was almost hyperventalating. It was mostly Jr's stuff, some things I would have worn and they did have sizes that would fit me now, BUT I just couldn't even pick anything up. I felt like the sales clerk was watching me and there were a few little "cuties" in there too! I did buy some jewelry, but probably wont' go back for a really, really long time. Why do we do this to ourselves? Leeanne

I totallly understand! I felt like that the first time I walked into Hollister!!! You gotta keep going in and relaxing... its the only way we'll feel like we "belong" I know it sounds weird... but the more I force myself to go into those "teeny bopper" shops, the more comfy I feel. The jewelry ALWAYS rocks in those stores too! hehehe

Gotta say once again....DAMN what a great picture of you, Jaci! I went into Hollister a month ago to get a gift card for my nephew. Let's face it, I am SO NOT the age-range meant for that store. However, I had my son in a stroller with me. What a nightmare! That store is also not designed for strollers! I bumped into every counter and every 17-year-old in the place. It was so funny.... NOT! Hee hee, Jersey

Awwww, thanks Jersey! When I went into Hollister and Abercrombie I was sooo nervous! My heart was racing and I knew my face was bright red... I just knew those people were burning holes into my back. I had to keep telling myself... you can be in here shopping for your friend or boyfriend, relax! Ugh, sooooo scary.

Now you just need to turn that thinking around to say, "I can be shopping here for myself and I AM shopping here for myself!" This is something I am working on, too! We will get there, Chickie!

****I AGREE**** My teenagers are totally into Hollester but I hate that store once you get the stroller in the door you do bumb into everything and then you can't just park it where the baby wont grab something everywhere you turn there is something..and there sizes run really small to, my 15 year old who wears a 2-4 usually wears large there ? That's a great feeling Leeanne! Like Jaci says, it takes time but you have to keep going back. Karen S.

Hey Leeanne: You march right back in there and buy an article of clothing! I know exactly how you feel but, guess what girlie, you DO belong there! Walk in there, hold your head up high and just buy something that fits. It will get so much easier after that! Love and hugs, Jersey

I am still aways from shopping in the "normal" racks but I know what you mean. I went to Target to look at some tops and I was in the womens area but I could feel like people were staring at me. I think that it is all in our heads and we need to get used to the big changes our bodies have gone through. You have done great and keep your head up. I know that finding cute clothes is just a little extra treat in comparison to how great we feel. ~Norma~
