OT - Can Anyone Help?

Hi everyone: I have a completely unrealistic request. My parents, all-of-a-sudden, are DESPERATE to get my almost 2-year-old a Tickle-Me-Elmo T.M.X. doll. My son loves Elmo...he smiles whenever he sees him. But it is SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE! If you are out and happen to see one, could you please let me know where?!? I know it is a long-shot...but it couldn't hurt! Thanks! Jersey

Have you tried eBay yet? I just did a search for them and there were quite a few. Ranging from $31 - $80. On my travels if I see one, I'll pick it up for you Susan

I just called our local walmart and they have been out for a month and don;t expect to get any in soon. I did that because they will be the first to get any in. I had to go thru this 20 years ago with Teddy Ruxbin, my Mother in Law found one in Chicago at the time and sent it here. Maybe you could split the extra price from Ebay with your parents and get one of those? That is what she did. I think Teddy cost $80 back then, I know we couldn't afford that. But the pic of my son seeing it for the first time and the times after were so worth it. A funny follow up, well sort of, I was haveing a dissagreement with my son about cleaning his toys up. I said to pick them up or I would throw them away. He refused, so I picked up Teddy. He started screaming that he would pick up, so I dropped Teddy, catching his second toe with the plastic tape box on the back, splitting the toe like a watermellon. I was so afraid they were going to charge me with child abuse. He got it stitched up and has a tale to tell. Funny thing is, he doesn't remember Teddy at all. But he loved it then. He's 22 now.

Jersey, I hear you. I am looking for 3 also. I have a 2 1/2 yr old son and a 3 year old niece, and, a 1 1/2 year old nephew and they would all love one. I will keep my eyes open for us. Good luck! ~Norma~

Hi Jersey, My 3 year old loves Elmo also and we are looking for one. So we signed up at toysrus.com to notify us when they get them back in stock. They sent an email the other day but when I tried to buy it, they had sold out again. Maybe you could try this also. Good luck.
