Nancy B's Handy Dandy Protein Balls
Protein Balls
1 cup of light peanut butter, smooth or crunchy
1 cup of vanilla or chocolate protein powder
1 cup of hemp granola
(I find this at the Bulk Barn....it has protein-rich
hemp seed, sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seeds in it)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 pecan pieces
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
for variety: I sometimes add a tsp of pure cocoa or cinnamon, raisins might be good
Mix it all together and roll into walnut-sized balls, chill and keep in the fridge.
I often keep a small container of these protein balls in my car when Im out all day..that way, I can eat one or two every few hours to keep my pouch, Rufus, happy with regular protein intake.
enjoy! each ball = 6-8 grams of protein
