Trip to ER

Well, after several days of getting sick on everything solid, I decided to just try liquids. Well, a carnation Instant at 11 am, and then some crystal light about 2 hours later, and I was in some serious pain. I called the doc, the nurse sent me to the nearest ER. Well, I get there and I am only feeling nauseated at this point, no pain, no fever, nada. ER doc calls my doc says will see me in the am, continue slow liquids, since I was not distented or anything. Here is the kicker. I get up to leave, have to pee. So before leaving the ER I run to the bathroom. Here's the important part. Go to Pee, have number 2!! Sorry, but pretty big! Suddenly feel better, am able to drink with no problems the rest of the day, ate a couple of bites and no problems. Dr. thinks I had a partial obstructions, have to call him this am and let him know if I still feel ok or not. Feel fantastic. How retarded is that? Trip to the ER, for nada, because they basically checked my temp and blood pressure, checked my belly and sent me home. Missed a day of work, worried my hubby half to death, all CAUSE I HAD TO POOOP! I really am thinking that was it, and feel like an (_._) Gotta love it, just another WLS wonder Nicole

Nicole, I know that can be painful and cause a lot of problems. I hope that took care of things and that is all that was wrong! Leeanne

Nicole: Your post really made me chuckle! I am sorry you went through all that...but isn't it better that it was just a poop than something really serious? Don't worry that you made everyone worry...it is GOOD that you got yourself checked out! I am so glad that you are feeling better and even happier that it was nothing serious! Love and hugs, Jersey

Oh boy do I understand that one... About 12 years ago my husband was experiencing the worst pain in his life...thought is could be his apendix (sp?) or maybe gall bladder or something. He went to the doctor and they did x-rays and ultrasounds just to find out he was "stopped up" even thought he had been going on a regular basis...I guess just not enough. Man did we tease him about that one... I understand!!! --Kelly

WOW. How long was it since you had a BM before that? I tend to get constipated due to the iron supp I take and my colestoral med. Dr. told me to take fiber every day. I found Fibercon chewables sugar free. And so far so good. You chew 2 a day. You may want to try it. Fiber is something we don't get alot of wioth our diet. Regards and hugs Ronna

Sooo funny! When I was a kid, no matter what we complained of my mom always said "Have you pooped today?" She would not even discuss anything else until we produced a turd. Most of the time that took care of it! Now when I feel ill or not right I just go and poop and all is well! Teresa
