Had My Endoscopy

Hey Everyone: I had my endoscopy yesterday. Everyone was right, it was an incredibly painless procedure...quick and easy. The doctor said everything looks good but he took some biopsies just to be sure. I will find out next week. Not sure what that pain in my throat was but at least everything looks good on first sight... Thank you, everyone...for all your words of support! I swear I don't know what I would do without you! Love and hugs, Jersey

Jersey, Well the test results sound good. How are YOU feeling? Leeanne

Hey Leeanne: Thanks for asking. My answer to anyone in my face-to-face life is...'I am fine.' But you guys are family so I can say that I am soooo not fine. And I am not sure what the heck is wrong with me. I had a rough two weeks with my son solo (my husband was in Asia). Literally overnight my son turned from a sweet, rarely grumpy ray of sunshine to a rarely sweet, spawn of Satan. Maybe it was separation anxiety with my husband leaving on his business trip. Maybe it is because he transitioned into a different room in Day Care. Whatever the reason...he is a different boy. That is okay...I know that happens...but I was already stressed out before he changed and his change did not help. And then both my sisters let me down within a span of two days...when I desperately needed them...(see my previous Wah-wah-fest that I posted). I asked them for help for the FIRST time (they are always the one asking things of me)...but neither came through for me. And I am still bitter about it (which is not like me...I let things roll, typically). My husband came home but it was almost like..."who cares?" How bad is that! I love him but, really, he has no patience for my son and so I have no patience for him. And, as I was picking him up from the airport, I got a ticket while parked at Arrivals (I was IN my car when I got it). I cannot BELIEVE how I talked back to the cop...I am SO lucky all I got was a parking ticket! Again...that is not at all my personality. The night before last, my son woke up at 2:00 AM screaming. We could not find anything wrong with him. We changed his diaper, gave him Tylenol and he eventually drifted back to sleep. But last night he woke up at 11:30 and did not go back to sleep until after 3 AM!! I am exhausted and emotionally drained. :::: But I will be okay. This, too, shall pass! Bet ya wish you did not ask how I was doing! Hee hee Love ya! Jersey

I am not sorry I asked at all! I did read about your trouble with your sisters. I wish I lived closer, we could go out and forget all your troubles! I am way out of the 2 year old stage, but that alone (cranky kids) can be stressful enough with out all the rest. Give yourself a break. Do something for JUST YOU. Leeanne

Hey Jersey, You can cry on my shoulder ANYTIME. I know what it is like to not have help from family. All my family except my sister live in PA. So I am in texas without any type of support system except my sis with 4 kids under 3 years old. My sis's fiance was just here for 3 months so she was in oblivion with him. My hubby is awesome with the kids but he is out of the house from 6am to 6:30pm. Is your little boy teething? Tugging at this ears? Has he had good poopys in the last few days? Is he growing, growth occurs when sleeping and is said to cause pain. I do not know if that is true Nathanial was cranky for the past 4 days and this AM woke up with a nasty, snotty, runny, yucky nose. I would pop into the daycare unannounced at an unexpected time of the day. i.e. drop him off and then an hour late pop back in. You never know ... God Bless! Jen

Aww, thanks Jen! I truly do feel so pathetic complaining when I only have one kid but, man, he takes everything out of me lately! I still wouldn't trade him for anything in the world...but I hope to find out what is causing his distress. He may be teething...I think that is the most likely culprit. He has been sick on an off since the weather turned cold so we are taking him to an allergist next week. Maybe he can tell us something, too. He has not been tugging at his ears and he is a GOOD pooper! Your growth spurt theory is interesting, too. I guess it could be anything. Thank you so much for listening...and for your advice! It means the world to me! Love and hugs, Jersey

Hi Jersey, So glad to hear that everything worked out okay. I have a doctor appointment November 3rd for a ultrasound for gallstones. I'm sure its nothing but doctor wants to double check. Carly

Hey Carly: Your doctor did not let you know right away if you had gallstones? I had mine removed in 1997. My doctor told me it was a result of trying Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem! Scary, huh? I hope you feel better...gallstones hurt like crazy! Hugs, Jersey
