Back to Basics - Day 3
Jaci,
I made the Southern Pecan Chicken at a moms night out two days ago. It is sooo easy. The recipe was for all but next time I make it I am going to make it WLS friendly,
Start with boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning sprinkled evenly over breasts (I do not care for pultry seasoning so I will leave this off next time I make it
1 c maple syrup (use SF Syrup to make WLS friendly, a good one is Smuckers SF Breakfast Syrup) pour over each breast
1/2 c brown sugar (Use Splenda Brown Sugar to make WLS friendly) - sprinkle evenly over each breast
1/4 c almonds - sprinkle evenly over each breast
Bake @ 350 for 45 - 50 min. I baked it covered and the pan had a lot of juice in it. I think next time I make it I will leave the dish uncovered.

The lattes I make myself.
8 oz water
1 tablespoon sanka
3 - 4 oz skim milk
1 scoop vanilla or mocha protein ( or half a scoop of each flavor)
I nuke the water for 1.5 min, add the sanka, add the mild then mix in the proetin. Yummy and here are the counts
Cals Fat Carb Prot
196 2 13 31 vanilla
221 1 15 36 mocha
God Bless Jen
Hey Tori!
I actually used to detest chicken...thank goodness that has changed!!
I *have* tried Isopure...they ALL make me sick. I think there is just something about the protein taste (even the so-called tasteless kind) that makes me ill...
Oh well...I try to grin and bear it! At least it is over and done with in a matter of seconds!
Have a great day!
