Emergency ER/Hosptial stay

Hey Guys, Just wanted to update you on me. Early in the AM on Monday, like 3:30 I woke up with bad pains in my stomach, Tom took me to the ER. They took a CT scan and thought I had fluid and air free in my abdominal cavity. He figured that there was a leak in my bowels somewhere. They told me I could go back to Altoona to my original bypass surgeon or they could operate on me there. I decided to go back to my doc. I stayed in Altoona since yesterday morning. They did an upper GI and found no leaks in my system so they didn't operate. They figure I either have a virus or I have a lot of constipation. They have me on colace 2x a day for the next 30 days. I have never been in that much pain! I'm glad that I didn't stay at the other hosptial or I could have had surgery for no reason. So now I'm home and I'm sore but at least I'm home. I missed my midterm exam tonight at school but I talked to the professer this morning and she's going to make a special one up for me. jen

Jen So sorry to hear about the hospital stay. I am very thankful you did not stay at that hospital and went back to your Doctor. You were sure thinking on your feet. Jen, I am sorry you are in so much pain. I am praying for you and that it all gets better soon! I've been where you are so I can understand what you are going through!! Thanks you guys It definately was scary to have one doc saying I had a major leak and the other saying no. My stomach still hurts. I am taking it one day at a time. I'm off work today. I am going to head back to bed in a minute. I have to go back on the step 2 and step 3 diet which is blended food *yuk* and slowly adding solids. I have to go back to the doc next week. I hope this blended food diet helps me lose some more weight I'm going back to bed, talk to you all soon!
