Really bad scare!!

Well I have gone the past 9 months without a hitch after surgery and low and behold 3 days before my sister is to fly in I start hurting and then am admitted to the hospital last Thursday! I had been having a burning and several dull and sharp pains in my midsection on the left side-at first I thought it was gas the first day but the second day it was a little worse-saw my surgeon and he felt around and thought it wasnt anything to be too concerned with-well the next day I was even in more pain so he sent me to get a cat scan which then resulted in direct addmitance to the hospital-after 3 hours of upper GI tests the next day they couldnt find anything wrong and assumed I may have inflamation of the small intestine which cant be seen with the tests so I was put on a liquid diet and antibiotics until today-my surgeon came in today after consulting with the well know surgeon down in Miami and they have come to the conclusion I may have an internal hernia so I am to be scoped next week-lucky me-until then I have my loritab for pain and I am to take it easy-Ugh I cant believe this has happened after everything has gone so well and what a way to break my plateau-I have been 150 for several weeks now and now as of this morning I weigh 146-Ill post an update next week once my doc does the scope : )

Hope you feel better soon Lori...I bet it was a scare and although it isn't something we would like to happen at least you are being watched by your doctor. I will keep my fingers crossed that things go better for you. Try and take it easy and hey 4 pounds is four pounds no matter how it comes off..
