Please explain the "friend" thingy!!

Can someone please explain what this "friend" button is on our profiles now and what they're used for? Sorry to be such a message board geek, but I don't get it!! Lisa S.

Hi, The friend button has to do with the new profile program they set up. Click on your info and it will ask you if you want your old profile or your new one. If you choose your new one you will see where you can add friends...Hope this helps! ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

Thanks Chris, but can tell you tell me what the purpose of the friend thing is? Can only "friends" e-mail you? I just don't understand what being a "friend" means. Lisa S.

I don't think it matters who emails you or response to you. My daughters are teens and they have a myspace and can only comment or receive comments by someone on their friend list. It does show on your new profile all your friends...I am not sure of the purpose on this board as I beleive you can still correspond but perhaps in the BLOG area where someone is allowed to comment you, they can only be someone on your friend list so nasty people can not leave comments unless you allow it.
