Hey Ronna talked about her success on ebay so I decided to try it out. I started out by putting up a skirt and a blouse. Well I sold both of them. It's really easy to do! I have a closet full of clothes and this is a great way to get rid of them! Ok, my dad said I need to start my bid higher. How do you guys decide on how much to start a bid at? How do you decide on the shipping cost? I have jeans, more shirts and skirts to sale but dont know where to start my bid. Any comments are appreciated! Thanks Kay

Hi Kay, I just did some more selling on ebay and I started my bid at 1.99 and shipped for $5...These were on used clothing....I had one shirt that got bid up to 5.50 and the rest sold for 1.99. One shirt was a sweatshirt and shipping was 4.30 cents so I only made 60cents on it. I went to the post office and they gave me a shipping form to guide me. I think I am going to raise my shipping....I only offer discounts if someone emails me and asks for a discount...Good luck, ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris ps....when I sold a "lot" of clothes I had shipping at $10 and they sold...

Hi Kay, Well I've sold 30 items so far and still have alot listed. There is a shipping calculator that you can use. That way it's based on where someone lives (their zip code) as well as the weight of the package. I took a bath on the first couple of items in regards to shipping and the guy at the UPS store told me about the calculator funtion that you can do when you list your item. So since then I've been pretty close on the charge. In terms of what to put up for a starting bid, it's pretty subjective. If the item is new and still has the tags on them I start at a higher level then I would for something that was used,. The first item I listed was a Quacker Factor Sweatshirt that I wore and wore and wore, but it was in excellent condition. I listed it for a starting bid of $7.00. The winning bid was $46.00 I was shocked and amazed So you never know. I've had a couple of things that didn't get any bids It's all timing and a bit of luck, I think. Anyway, so far, I've made over $800. It is turning into a small home business for me right now. I am guessing that I will run out of things to post in about a month So keep trying! Regards and hugs, Ronna
