I was like a puppet

Hi everyone....most of my life I have had problems with my neck from it growing incorrectly and being adjusted when I was a teen. It was really bothering me in recent weeks and hindering my attempts at working out. I finally broke down and went to the chiropractor. He did a lot of resistance testing on me and we laughed when he said I was all out of balance like a marionette puppet. We adjusted my neck and talked about how my left shoulder was practically 'dead', my weight being carried on my right side of my body, hence my hips were off. All the excess weight I carried around for so many years had completely shifted my skeletal, muscular and nervous system. Its been two weeks and I feel like a whole new person. Additionally he's given me all kinds of exercise to support the restructuring of my system and they are working. Working quite well, I am sore but move so much better. My posture is so much better and I feel like I have a foundation to exercise now and its making a difference. And...many of his tests point to inactive adrenal glands. What!! At first I was really annoyed to hear this, shouldn't that have fixed itself after surgery??!! We did this easy test where I saturated these cotton thingys with saliva 4x in one day and await the results. I will be flabbergasted if the test shows I am off in that area...and a bit annoyed that this was never found in any of the other testing I've done the last year. Ultimately, the adrenals manage your metabolism. Maybe there's a reason I am a slow loser??? I dont dare yet to hope but its certainly interesting. Has anyone else worked with a chiropractor or had similair experiences? Cheers, Tiffany

Tiffany- I, too, went to the chiropractor and mine has said the same thing as yours. Our weight (and then lack thereof) causes 'structural' issues as things find 'new homes'. I know a lot of people don't like chiropractor; but I would be crawling without mine. Rose in PA

Glad to hear that you are feeling better and that things are getting fixed! I think that so many of us were just dismissed as obese, and the characteristics that go along with that... I know my doctor found a couple of minor things at my last exam, and I thought... "yeah, but it was that way before surgery" I was a little perturbed... like he just ignored the symptom before... but now it is an issue... I love my doctor, but sometimes I wonder how much they listen??? Anyway... good for you! Keep getting better, and I look forward to hearing about the adrinal tests... let us know what you hear. I've never been to a chiropractor---but just this last year I started seeing an accupuncturist for my migraines with amazing result---I was very pleased--that's my similiar experience! Cathy
