I'm back & happily unemployed

I haven't been able to get on the boards for over a month. I took at job at a student loan collection agency. Let's just say I didn't have the heart (or lack of heart) for the job. I went in today and quit!!!!!!!! No notice or anything. They were very deceitful in their hiring practices, so I didn't feel they deserved to get 2 weeks notice. I feel soooooo much better. I have been in training for the last 4 weeks and I haven't been eating right at all. Actually I haven't been eating hardly anything at all!!! The hours didn't work out with my gym so I was only working out once or maybe twice a week. I only had a few minutes for breaks and lunch so I wasn't eating very much either. I can tell that my face has that sunken look. It just wasn't worth my health!!! I was only getting paid $8.00 an hour plus these so called bonuses...which were pretty much unattainable. Sooooooo I'm happily unemployed again. I have a lead on the receptionist job at a law firm, so I'm hoping that it becomes available. If not, I will go to a temporary agency and do some temp work for awhile. I'm retired and receive a pension, but it's not enough to get plastic surgery...that's the only reason I was working full time. For any of you collection agency employees out there....I don't know how you do it. It broke my heart to hear from terminally ill young people that can't pay their bills and how the agency still makes them pay. Oh well, I guess you could become immune, but it didn't work out for me. Have I missed much? What's been going on in the January boards? How is everyone doing? I wish I could come to the get together in Vegas, but I just don't have the money. I'll have to start reading some old posts and get caught up with everyone. I have to go have lunch with an old friend right now, but I'll be back after 2pm then off to the gym at 4pm....yeah, the gym---can't wait!!! Kathy

Thanks Ronna, It's nice to see your smiling face again. I've missed being on the boards. I'm not really worried about finding another job right away. If I don't get the receptionist job I will work temporary for awhile. I definatley need a tummy tuck....and I'd like to get my batwings removed as well as my turkey neck. How have you been doing? I'm doing well, feeling great. I've just completed 3 months of Physical Therepy and I think it realy helped in terms of getting better balance and stenghth in my legs. I'll be having cataract surgery on the 12th so that is coming up fast. It'll be outpatient and I had the same surgery in 2005 but on the other eye. With any luck it will be just as successful so I am looking forward to improved vision as well Maybe we can see about getting "Group Rate" for the plastics I could also use a batwing removal, a breast reduction, a necklift and maybe a tummytuck too
