Hi every body... I have been absent for a while now... so I thought to come and say hi to everybody... I hope all of you are doing awesome... Here you have a reflection I translated with the expectation that could be of any help to somebody I apologize if the translation has problems because I am not at all professional at it... lol Enjoy it... Your Friend Alejandro from Guadalajara Mexico THE ROCK A man was sleeping in his hut when suddenly a light illuminated the Room and God appeared before him... The Lord said that He had a task for him, and He showed the man a big rock Just in front of the hut. The Lord explained to the man that his task was to push the Rock with all his might... The man did exactly what the Lord asked him to do, day after day. For long years, since the sunrise to the sunset, the man pushed the cold rock with all his might... And the rock never moved... Every night the man returned to his cabin very tired and feeling that All his endeavors were in vain. As the man started to feel frustrated, Satan decided to come and play his own game, carrying these thoughts to the man's mind: "You have pushed that rock for long time", and gave to the man the impression that the commended task was pointless and impossible to do... These thoughts brought to the man frustration and disillusionment. Satan said: "Why to strain so hard all day every day doing this impossible task? Just do the minimum effort and that will be enough...." The man thought to do exactly that... but before doing it he decided to pray and confess to the Lord his feelings: "Oh Lord, I have worked hard for long time at your service. I have applied all my strength to achieve what you asked me to do, but although all my endeavors I haven't moved the rock at all..." What is happening? Why have I failed? The Lord answered him with compassion: "My son, when I asked you to serve me, and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push the rock with all your might, and you have done it. I never told you that I expected you to move the rock. Now you come to me without strength to tell me that you have failed, but, did you really fail? Look at you, your arms are strong, your back is big and muscular, your hands are callous and ready for any other task, you legs are tough and strong too... Although all the adversity you have grown up so much... and your skills are now increased and better than before... It's true, you haven't moved the rock, but your mission was to be obedient and push the rock to make your faith stronger not just your body. And that, my son, is what you have accomplished. Now I shall move the rock for you" Some times, when we hear the Lord's word, we try to use our intellect to decipher His will, when the reality is that God is just asking us obedience and faith. We must exercise our faith that moves mountains, but being aware that God is the one who moves them for us... When everything seems going wrong.... Just PUSH! When you are exhausted because of the hard job.... Just Push! When people do not behave in the way you think they should... Just Push! When you have no money to pay your debts... Just Push! When people just do not understand you... Just Push! When you are down, exhausted and with no strength to keep going... Just Push! There are rocks impossible to move. Perhaps that is our task, our mission. I am sending you a strong embrace and my pray for you to never get tired of pushing your own rock. Alejandro from Guadalajara Mexico
