protein snack? Lately I find myself eating lunch meat. I am buying Boars Head which doesn't have as much as the junk added to it. But afterall, it is lunchmeat and filled with preservatives and sodium. I need better suggestions as I feel like I am stuck in a rut with lunch meat. What do you eat? How do you prepare it? Where do you buy it? God Bless! Jen

Luna Bars are great, they are a dollar and have 10g protein. There's a dozen flavors so whatever your mood, a flavor fits. I also found flatbread crackers called 'Dr Kraker' in the produce section. One has 5g protein, top it with some low fat cheese, pb or lunchmeat and you can easily get it to 10g of protein, too. Lately I have been into the Taco Bell vegetarian pinto beans. Again, a can is a dollar and I can get 3-4 snacks from it....my latest is to warm it in a pan and then cook an egg next to it for a 10-12g meal/snack. Hope that helps...looking forwrad to everyone else's ideas! ~Tiffany

I eat lots of cheese and I premake chicken breasts to have them available when I need them for lunch etc. I also eat cottage cheese it has a lot of protein. And of coarse the nuts but they have lots of sodium to. I have found my pouch is unable to tolarate lunch meat, so I don't eat it. Good Luck Tori

Well, I love Land O Lakes cheese and they have a Naturally Slender cheese that's I think 25% less fat but it's good! I eat it alone, with crackers or with lunch meat. I was never eat lunch meat and cheese w/o bread but I like it now. April

For a real treat I will eat a Luna Bar or a Bryers No Sugar Added Ice Cream Bar. It has 5 grams of protein and is really good. I do also like almonds for a quick and crunchy snack with a pop of protein.
