Please keep on praying. Right now she is doing as good as can be expected. I told you that she was in the hospital with another heart attack. Well, things really went down hill and fast.
She had another stroke. She got a blood clot in her heart. She got a blood clot in her leg, threatening her leg. She was abulanced to Lincoln to the Nebraska Heart Institute Hospital. Once there she underwent another procedure on her leg to see if the meds were doing any good. They weren't. They did another heart cath. Then a ephophical echo. She had a tumor in her heart as well as a clot. To see just what shape her heart was in. Her heart is functioning at 15%. Normal is 60%. They did an emergency surgery to remove the clot from her leg. But before they did that, she started bleeding from the insision of the cath and being on four strong blood thinners to try and disolve the clot, she wouldn't stop bleeding. It is really unnerving to watch a 140 pound woman pressing with all her strenght and weight into your daughters groin and still see blood flowing every where. They finally got it stopped. In the surgery, they were able to restore blood flow to the leg. Another hour and there would have been no saving the leg. We think she will keep her leg. Yesterday morning they did another heart cath, and then they took her in for open heart surgery. First they made slits in the leg because it was swelling so bad and to keep it from dyeing they had to make room for it to swell. Then they did a triple by-pass. Last but not least they removed the turmor. These tumors generally are not cancer, so please pray that her's isn't.
We are lucky. They didn't think she would make it through the first procedure much less all the rest. Now she is doing as good as can be expected. If you remember, she is on 31 years old. Please pray.
