I started at 190 and now I am at 185. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't a little dissapointed.Not that 5 lbs in ten days is a bad thing.Heck,I lost nothing in almost 2 months. I had just really hoped to get down to 184 (100 lb loss) by the end of it. i guess making deadlines is just setting ones self up for dissapointment. Theres always tomorrow!

Way to go Val....A loss is a loss. Iknow I probably would be disappointed to...Weight loss is a tough thing isn't it? 185 is great....What size are you in now? I am at 165 and wearing a 12 pants and xl junior top....I have never been this weight in 20 years....I bet you feel alot better than you did before. Congrats and maybe I will try the platue diet. Hello Valerie! I am so happy for you-hey 5 pounds in 10 days is great ESPECIALLY since you mentioned you didnt lose anything in almost 2 months-hey if you took off 5 in 10 I am sure you can get off the next 1 for your 100 pound loss in no time-stay positive you did great!!!! Lori : )

I just read an article on that. It's ok to have goals, but do ones like when you hit 100lb gone, you get a gold watch or a massage or a face wax Trying for a weightloss by a time is setting ourselves up for a loss. You are loosing about what I loose, 1/2 lbs a day. It seems like it takes for ever to get to any new level, but it does come. I finally am over 90lbs lost. Alot of others have been over 100 by now, we are about in the same boat. I also think we will all hit a weight that we were at for awhile. It is like the fat is more dense and takes more coaxing to come off. But it will. Patients, yah right, is all it is going to take. I also know we hit a stall every month. Even if it is for one day, but usually a few more. So I don't loose 15lbs a month, it's closer to 10. I go for a week or so loosing 1/2 lbs a day, then it stops. So the average is 10lbs a month. I keep hoping, like right now, I am at 5lbs in the first 10 days of the month, but it probubly wont give me 15, although I would love it, I might hope for 12, but I am setting myself up I am afraid. You did great though. You stuck to the plan. You lost weight, which you hadn't been before, so you did what you set out to do, broke the plateau. Go shopping!!!!

V 5 pounds is great What have you decided to do here on in? I think I will continue to do this 3 days a week. I won't weight officially until tomorrow, but I think I'm down 10 pounds But then I have much more to lose than you do so I think its all relative. Kind of worried about the holiday next week. We are having Rosh Ha'Shanna dinner at my house on Saturday and there will be lots of good stuff to eat as my brother is cooking and he's a great cook.

I think that I have decided to give myself a break this weekend then get right back to protein on Monday. I know I will slack a little on the Holidays (Erev Rosh Hashana & Break the fast)Other than that I will stick to it. L'Shana Tova
