Bloodwork Results

Well I got a call from my Interest this afternoon. She had both good and bad news for me. As far as my diabetes is concerned everything is great. She said I'm in good control and that my A1c is at 6.5 which is the lowest ever for me No for the not so great news. My colestoral levels are not where she wants them. My total colestoral is at 170 which is great. But the HDL and LDL are not where they are suppose to be. My good colestoral was 38 and normal is 40+ and by bad colestoral was 111 and for a diabetic she wants it at 70 or below. She I have to go back on medication for colestoral control I am not wild about this as it has sideeffects llike fatigue and mucsle weakness which I don't need right now as I'm trying to get stronger. Oh well, what can you do

Ahh Ronna I guess you have to take the good with the bad this time! Sorry to hear about your cholesterol levels being so high. Going back on the meds is trying but hopefully will get your levels back on track again. I am happy to hear that your diabetes is under control, that's a big wow! Karen S.

Ronna, So sorry to hear about going back on the cholesterol meds. At least you had some good news about your diabetes. Hopefully you won't need those meds long & you can celebrate soon. Carly

Ronna - glad your a1c is good - sorry about your cholesterol levels, even those aren't bad at all. I still take a little Lipitor everyday. Hope to be off it before long. Karla
