All my bags are packed...I'm ready to go...
Good morning!
Well, it took me until this morning to finish packing but at least I *am* done! I will leave for Port Liberty (about 45 minutes from my house) at around 2 PM to board my boat. Then we will sail off to the Caribbean!
Believe it or not, I DON'T want to go! I don't want to leave my son! He is the most precious thing in my life and the thought of not seeing him for 9 days wants me want to throw up.
But, hopefully, once I get there, I will be a little more enthusiastic! My husband and I desperately need this time alone so I will try to make the best of it!
I cannot BELIEVE how much I packed! In the past, I would only use about one-half of a suitcase. Yes, my clothes were much bigger but I HATED clothes so I took as little as possible. I would just re-wear the same t-shirts over and over...because so few things fit me! But this time...ho-boy! I think I packed 4 pairs of shorts...about 12 shirts...2 denim skirts...long jeans...my wonderful bras and my Spanx. Not to mention two full-length ball gowns...and about 7 pairs of shoes!! Just crazy!
Anyhow...I am going to MISS this board while I am away! I find inspiration here every day! I hope you all have a wonderful, wonderful week!
I will post pictures when I get back for those who are interested!
Love and hugs,
Jersey

Hey Jersey, Have a great time on your trip. Jesse and I tried alone time the other night and it didn't work out to well, we both missed our boys. I told him to imagine what it would be like on our honeymoon, I think we would be miserable. I bet we end up taking the kids
Have a safe trip and can't wait to see the pictures!
Dana

Hey Jersey,
I don't know if you will read this before you leave.
I know exactly how you feel. WHen my sis and I went to NYC three weeks ago. That was the first time I was ever away from Grace overnight (with exception to the night I spent in the hospital after surgery) The first day was tortorous. I called home 8 or 9 times. Each day got a little easier. I think you will find the same thing.
Enjoy your time with your hubby and relax.
Have a great time and take some pics of the bal gowns.
God Bless!
Jen
Jersey...the title of your post reminds me of a song I once heard....
I'm leaving on a jet plane..Don't know when I'll be back again...I love that song...
Anyway have yourself a great time and enjoy every minute. Your son will be fine and you will see him in no time. You and your husband need this and deserve it. Miss your son but focus on each other I am sure it will do wonders for your marriage as well as your soul...
Glam it up girl......
~~hugs and well wishes~~
Chris
