I cleaned and rearranged my room today...(First time I rearranged it since surgery) I have cleaned it since... Anyways I noticed I do not have the same strength I had prior to surgery....I used to be able to move my dresser without any difficulty and today I really struggled. Weird huh? Anyone else notice this? ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

My friend was/is like that. I have more strength, I think. I am doing things I couldn't before, I think I am stronger. I know I can climb into the back of a big rig trailer now, couldn't before. Are you doing weights? My friend didn't, that is why I made sure I did.

I have! I think its due to lack of mass... I know I used to use my bulk to move stuff around.. now I don't have it and I'm a weakling lol!

I think my strength is the same or better, but I have been lifting weights for a little while now. Karla

YES!! I have noticed this also... I have difficulty picking up my daughter(of course she's 5 and I dont pick her up often, but just lifting her to get on her horse is very hard for me) I am sure it has something to do with my protien levels since I have struggled with this from the beginning(I dont use supplements at all) but I am definitely not as strong as i used to be. I have noticed that, also. I don't think it's a deficiency of any kind, but tend to agree with Jaci's reasoning that it's a lack of pure bulk anymore. I used to "put my weight" literally behind moving things and picking up, etc. LOL -- Now I'm missing that weight and so I don't have as much "oomph" to get things to moving.

LOL I can like barely carry the 50 pound rabbit food bag from the barn to the rabbitry now! Before I could *almost* do two lol... I'd lean everything on my rolls and walk fast lol! ha ha..... oh the memories...

For me it's just the opposite. Before surgery I could not do much of anything. Now I feel so much stronger it's amazing. I feel better than now than I did 10 years ago.

Ladybug, I think my strength has stayed the same but I have lost my leverage weight! Teresa
