Kay....My daughter who is 16 now wanted the ipod shuffle. It is white and even smaller than the nano. Probably 2 inches by 1/2 inch. It is a wonderful device for someone young. She paid for it herself at best buy and at the time May 05 she paid 99 dollars plus tax and warranty so in total it cost $119.99. She used it faithfully until Christmas last year when I bought them all the nano. She new she was getting the nano so she wrapped it up and gave it to me for christmas. (Sweet) The Nano is different because you see the songs on the player and can shuffle them. On the other hand the shuffle has the songs on it but you can not see what song is coming up. You can play it random(shuffle mode) or one after another. The shuffle costs $59 for the one gig 122 songs and the 2 gig is $99 at best buy and I do not remember how many songs it can hold. They other day I took the shuffle my daughter bought me and went back to best buy with the warranty because it allowed an exchange/upgrade if we wanted. So they gave me back $99.99 and I purchased the nano for an extra $50 and bought the 2 year warranty and down the road I can exchange it for the bigger and better one. That way you can exchange as they grow....As far as the "skins" and home charger" go I suggest you go on ebay. I just bought a home charger for $10 including shipping and 7 colored skins for $10 as well. At the stores the charger was $32 and the skins were $21 for one. Good luck with your decision.
