I use Dermalogica firming cream and think it helps a bit... but I will be having a platysmaplasty and have chatted with the PS about it, along with a browlift and mini facelift = then movin' on down will get the works! But I'm definitely with you -- I hate the gobble neck, too!

there was a post about this on the main board. Someone suggested a product called Devrom~they said it can only be ordered online. Another suggestion was yogurt w/live active cultures. Just wanted to pass this along!

I have it and have had it for many months now. It did let up for a couple of months and now back again. I cannot pinpoint it to any thing specific. GasX and all of the gas pills never help me one bit. Sometimes the pain is awful, and then later the flatulence.. horrible.

Hi Stacy!!! Don't worry you're not alone!!! I've been on a plateau since December, 2005. My doctor did tell me that the window for losing weight was between 12-14 months post op. So I'm thinking that I might be done. This makes me sad, because I did want to lose another 20 pounds!!
I just had a TT on March 6th, and my plastic surgeon told me that the loose skin which was cut away and the fat that was liposuctioned probably totalled about 6 pounds. I was hoping that it would be a lot more!!! Well, I'm not giving up and don't you!!! I'm planning to start exercising again once I'm able to.
In your menu for a day, I noticed that you might want to increase your protein. I drink a protein shake for breakfast which is 50 grams, and I only have one meal (either lunch or dinner) which consists of 3-4 oz. of
chicken or seafood and a green salad. I also drink about 130-140 oz. of water per day.
Hope this helps!!! Have a wonderful week!!!!

Can anyone give me a shove. Here is what I have had to eat today for instance. B-special K with spendid and non-fat milk, lunch-bean burrito, dinner-half a cup of chili and four crackers, evening snack-bannana, piece of cheese, five little crackers. Is it safe to eat an orange now?

I have this problem too. I can't pinpoint it down to a particular food. It is embarrassing though. I'll have to check back and see what responses you get~but please know that you're not alone!!!!!

Ok so I had heard this could happen, but thought I was free, sense it had been a year and no problem. Its the gas. People said that after surgery they had it all the time, and kept gasx on hand at all times. I thought hey, I am lucky I do not have this issue. Now all of a sudden I am stricken for two weeks with the issue. Has anyone else had this? Did you find it was a paticular food? Any ideas on more permanant remedy other then the pills?
Thanks
Jenn

greetings dianne!
congrats on being so near your goal! i still have quite a way to go, so i'm still a while from any plastics. but the neck skin is bothersome to me also. i've been using the dove firming cream on my throat, and do think it's helping somewhat.

Hi Dianne!!!! Congratulations on your journey to a healthier and happier life!!!!
I had lap rny on January 10, 2005, and just had a TT on March 6, 2006.
Boy, was it an experience!!!! My biggest problem was my stomach area and waistline. My plastic surgeon advised me against an arm lift and thigh lift because I tend to form really severe keloids (scar tissue). He told me that those would be more disfiguring than having the extra skin.
I don't have the problem with the loose skin on the neck, but I'm seeing my plastic surgeon tomorrow and will ask him if there is a procedure for that area. I'll get back to you tomorrow. It seems like a very sensitive area, but there just might be a procedure for the neck area.
Have a wonderful week and take care!!!
