Can I ask how you knew you had a hernia? I had surgery in Jan 05 and, for the last week, I get horrible nausea and want to be sick. Kinda like the beginning days. If it was flu, wouldn't it be gone by now? I am kinda panicked cuz I have had a pretty trouble-free journey to date and don't know what is causing this nausea. Even tea and water are bothering me! karenm

I don't know about the diuretics, but the viactive chews are not calcium citrate, and my Dr. recommends calcium citrate because we don't absorb the carbonate type. There is a new calcium citrate candy like chew available that I got at Walmart, and they are good. I forget the name, but they come in chocolate, carmel and lemon flavors. My weight has been stuck for 2 months as well, and I went to see my primary care physician yesterday to get a referral to see a nutritionist. It seems I can eat lots or I can eat nothing, and still maintain the same weight. Grrrr...it is frustrating. My pcp to referred me to the medifast diet. I checked out their website, and have e-mailed them for the nutritional info. So we'll see. I was wondering if anyone has tried the medifast diet. She said it should jumpstart my weightloss again, but it seems to me that it is similar to other plateau buster diets that have been out there. Hang in there... this shall pass Margo

Hi! I have plateaued also...I have been between 175-180 for the past few months...I am not drinking the water like I should be either...I have to go to the bathroom every hour as it is, and when I drink water I can't make it through an exercise class...I know it's still no excuse...We can take Viactiv Chews...caramels are really good...I have been taking them since my 2 week check up...I am not sure about the diuretics...I would be interested in finding out that answer though...you look wonderful - keep up the good work...I can't figure out how to load a new pic haha...

How do you restart WLS? I've plateaued and cannot lose the last few pounds. I'm not drinking even 60oz of water a day and THAT IS SAD I know...no flaming me I'm very busy. I do get in my vitamins, however some days I forget. About calcium, can we take the Viactiv Chews? Also, can we take diuretic pills? I seem to be retaining a lot of water and when it gets hot my fingers and ankles swell. How is everyone doing?

Kimberly, It is good to hear from you!!! Tri-West told my Plastic Surgeon that I didn't have enough skin, NOT!!!! So I am okay with what I am doing now. I need to get it done asap because we are moving back overseas this summer, The Netherlands. I want to get this done before I leave CA. I really like this Plastic Surgeon. So how are you doing??? Are you still Stateside??? How is your husband doing?? If I remember correctly he had some medical issues, right? Okay thanks for replying!! Becky

Becky, Sorry it has been so long since we have talked! I am confused about your tt. Tricare paid for mine when they did the hernia repair. They determined all the excess skin would put strain on the hernia, and in turn could cause a reoccurance. I would give it a try. Talk to you later, Kimberly
