Topic: High AST and ALT 15 months out! Scared!
I recently had a blood panel done and my AST and ALT were high. AST is 43 (norm being 2-35) and ALT is 94 (norm being 2-50). Is this something to be concerned about. I know its liver function, I am not a drinker or anything like that. What could it be, or are we just prone to liver problems after surgery?

I've had a horrible time with this one since day 1. Can you tolerate prunes? I hate them. I eat 3 in the morning. I have one of those mini boxes of raisins in the afternoon. I have also added a little fat into my diet. I do not tolerate fat well, so I have to be careful.

Topic: the doctor gave me vi
my doctor prescribed me vicadin for the pain in my mouth and my side, 2 different doctors, well i like it. I usually only take one in the evening and it takes away the soreness and mellows me out. Im scared I like it too much. Can i get hooked on one a day?

Dianne, Thank you!!! I will appeal and go from there. The bad thing is that we are moving overseas this summer. Hopefully we can get this worked out before we leave. Actually the pain hasn't been to bad, I can tolorate it. I haven't taken pain pills since last night. I had the drains removed today and that is nice. I was told I can take a shower tonight but I might wait until the morning. It hurt when they took the tape off my incisions today. My stomach looks good just swollen somewhat. I don't have any bruises so far.

I am sorry that you were denied for the breast reduction. Insurance companies can be very difficult to work with. Do start the appeal process. I read your post about the TT and hernia repair. I am glad that surgery went well. It sounds like you have had a lot of pain, but that you are dealing well with it.

Well I just wanted to let everyone know that I just found out that I got denied for a breast reduction. I am so upset about this. I will start the appeal process but it could take 6 months or more and we are moving to Europe within less than 2 months, that is if our orders ever come.

Topic: Constipation
Does anyone know if taking laxitives will hurt our pouch or not? I have been taking fiber twice a day and I am still so misserable with gas and my stool is hard. I am afraid to strain cause I get hemmoriods easly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

Pat, Thanks for your post!! I am resting so much that I don't want to anymore, ha ha! Glad to hear you are getting back to normal after 7 weeks, that gives me something to look forward to. Sorry to hear you are going to have to do again!!! Hopefully everything will work out fine with that surgery.

Tracy, Thank you!! I am really taking it easy and I am so bored to just be sitting here doing nothing. I will tell you though that I was very constipated and the first bowel movement, or really non-movement, was horrible!!!! That hurt so bad!!! Oh well it comes with the territory.
I will keep you posted. Other than that it is going well and I go back to the dr tomorrow. Hopefully the drains will come out.

I'm 7 weeks post op from my TT and getting pretty much back to normal.
In September I will be going back to have more ps on my hips since I'm not happy with the results. I guess than I'll be in recovery mode again.
