Hi Marti!!!! Congratulations!!! It has been a long time!! You look simply gorgeous!!!! I know exactly what you mean, I have been going through the same thing. I still don't see myself as small, although I've gone from a tight size 3X to a small-medium. I am 5 feet tall, and currently weight 145 pounds, but I still feel like I need to lose another 20-25 pounds. My husband thinks that I'm nuts!!! I guess this must be a "girl issue"!! I know that some people think that I had my TT done too early, but I just needed to get rid of that awful skin that I've been lugging around. I just had TT on March 6, 2006. I would like to have some other ps done, but since I'm self pay, it can be rather expensive!!! You look just awesome Marti, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!!! Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless you and yours!! Keep in touch!! Love and aloha, Pat

Topic: HI ALL JANUARY, 2005 POST OPS!!!!! LET'S UPDATE!!!!!!
Hi everyone!!!! How has everyone been!!! Can you imagine that most of us are approaching our 18 mos. post op very soon!!! I was thinking that it would be nice to touch bases with everyone. I've noticed that a lot of you have either stopped posting or post once in a great while. It would sort of be like a reunion, but online!!! For anyone that wants to participate, maybe we could use the following as a guide: 1. How much weight have you lost to date? 2. What is your height and starting weight before WLS? 3. Have you reached your goal? 4. If you have not reached your goal, how far are you? 5. Anyone thinking of having plastic surgery? I hope this gets a lot of responses, it would be really nice to hear from everyone again! 1. As for me, I have lost 115 pounds so far. 2. I am 5 feet tall and my starting weight before WLS was 261 pounds. 3. I still would like to lose another 20-25 pounds. 4. I have not reached my goal. 5. I actually had a TT on March 6, 2006. Take care everyone and God Bless! I can't tell you how all of you have supported me since the beginning of my journey! Let's see how many people will post (I hope lots) !!! Have a wonderful and safe weekend!!!! Come on everyone, I'm challenging everyone to post Love and aloha, Pat

Man does this sound like me, I mean you would think losing all this weight would be enough but the reality is when you look at the skin esp. with a bathing suit on its bad. I mean it looks yucky what else can you say. And you know others will see it that way too theres just no getting around it. Period! And its not a matter of image so to speak when you have what still looks like a fat roll around your stomach from skin, arms that hang down 3inches longer than they should and won't let you wear a size or two smaller than you should cause your ams won't fit into a smaller size and the same with your pants size. Its like I told my husband if you stood me in a room full of men off the street for an opinion and aked them what they thought of me honestly as this is a poll and I was in one of those police like rooms where you can't see who is looking at you and told them to be honest, they would still say I looked either fat or over weight due to my skin. To go further if you put me and another person the same weight and height and age in the same room only the other person never had any weigh issues really and asked the men who looks better I bet they would say the other lady. So obviously theres a reason we think we look bad still beacause of the skin! I was trying to get my husband to understand this just a couple of days ago and he didn't want to listen much. I understand! Marti 253/134/??130 then 124??

OMG! I am shocked! How tragic and unexpected. I am crying as I type this. We have all been so happy for you; especially after your other loss. You are in our prayers. Ken and I will be offline while moving this weekend, but should be back on after the 1st of June. My good friend, Gabby, lost twins in March '05. She still cries. Take all the time you need. My mom's friend lost a little girl after 28 weeks in 1978. She cries every year on that little girls' birthday. You have so much love. It is unimaginable that children will not be in your future. Whether you try again, or adopt as we did( holding a crying 4 year old whose brother just slapped her with a wet sock) you will heal and love. I KNOW IT! Love, Lou Ann and Ken

Topic: RE: I want to get your ideas
When I want a snack I like to grab some cottage cheese, strawberries w/cool whip, banana w/peanut butter, s/f pudding or just even wrap a piece of turkey and cheese together. I usually have 3 main meals and 2 snacks daily (so I guess its like 5 small meals per day). My typical day looks like~ B~oatmeal pancake w/sf syrup S~strawberries w/cool whip L~salad w/ turkey, cheese, croutons, ranch D~something like chicken, chili, cottage cheese, taco w/out the shell, etc. this is the hardest meal of the day for me to try to figure out. S~something listed above I can eat a pretty good amount of food now, but I try not to graze on anything throughout the day. Eating something several times a day has helped me not to reach for the quick fix as much b/c I don't every get super starving b4 I eat. Good Luck to You! Tracy B 328/153 5'9"
