Topic: RE: So What's Up?
Rhonda, I eat pretty much the same things every day too~drives my family crazy, LOL! But its the easiest way for me to stay on track and I enjoy those foods so why not eat them every day as long as they're healthy! I also found when I posted on the Grads Board about weighing every day that alot of us do it just to stay accountable~that made me feel better too. I'm not obsessed with the scale, but I use it as a tool to keep me on track. Congrats on your weightloss!

Tracy, I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one that weghs every day. I believe it will keep us on the straight and narrow. I have been pretty much maintaing for a few months now. I eat the same things it seems like. Sometimes I really crave certain veggies and I will eat them for a long time and then its on to something else. How strange?

Topic: So What's Up?
Things are going well here. Just trying to figure out this maintance thing. Obviously in the past I haven't done very well with trying to maintain my weight, so this makes me a little nervous! I have my good days and my bad days, but I weigh in every day to try to keep on track and that seems to be helping.
How are things going for everyone else???

Keep the faith many of us have gone through the same issues. Your entire world is in change mode, your body and mind are in fast forward and between the hormones and the rapid changes your body is making everthing is upside down. It does get better but will take time. I understand some people do not have problems and some others are worse than normal some times you don't even know that anything is going on until one of your family or friends tells you. It is a good thing you are recognizing there is a problem. Do you have a support group in your area? It might be benificial to go to a meeting to see how others are/have delt with the issues. Don't be surprised if you PCP is not sure what is going on with you a lot of them do not understand the entire process. Sometimes your surgeons office can give you some direction in getting the help you might need. Take care. Peg
Topic: Questions???????????
Hello everyone I have a few questions for those that are 1 yr + out of surgery.....Has anyone ran into issues of depression or mood swings? My body seems to be going through something right now and I can't deal with it. I have made an appt. with my PCP but was just wondering if anyone has came across this problem.... Thanks for any advice...

Topic: Well I had my surger...
Well I had my surgery January 2005. Yesterday after losing half my body weight, 352 to 176, the doctor set me free. I met the goal he set for me. I still want to lose 20 more lbs, but I have never had a doctor tell me they were happy with my weight. What a great moment. He also told me I was good to go and start a family, I am so excited. I never would have guessed a year and hal*****his would be my life. I must say that in more ways then physical, this experience has changed my life. Thank you all for sharing it with me.
