Topic: RE: i've had a WOW!
Hi Deb!! Congratulations!!!!
You have truly done awesome in your journey!!!! I'm so proud of you!!
I had my lap rny on January 10, 2005. I started out at 261 pounds and currently weigh
135 pounds. I would like to lose another 15 pounds but the scale has just not moved.
What type of surgery did you have? I'm only 5 feet tall so I don't have much room
for expansion, if you know what I mean
That is great that you are now in a size 9 pant. Wow!! May I ask how tall you are and how much you currently weigh? I currently wear a size 10-12 depending on the brand. I was really hoping that I would end up in a smaller size. I still need to size
up in my pants because of my hips. I've also had a TT on March 6, 2006. I couldn't afford to have the full body lift because I had to pay 100% of the cost.
I still have issues where I think I am overweight, but I have also read other posts on the WLS Graduate Message Board that other individuals are also having this problem.
I guess some of us will always feel that we have not been completely successful.
Have a wonderful holiday season!!!!
God Bless you and yours!!!
It's so nice to see the January, 2005 group posting. I really miss the support and friendship from the early days. I guess everyone's gone on to different paths at this point of their journey. Please continue to post here. I've tried several times to revive this Message Board without successs.
Hugs and aloha, Pat

Topic: Watch Out for dehydration!
I want to warn everyone who has had a Gastric bypass to be very careful if you get the flu or a stomach bug or virus. I had diahrrea for a couple of days, but didn't curtail my activities or see the doc because I frequently have it due to the bypass and IBS. I had a little sore throat and runny nose and eyes on the third day, but it is allergy season here, so I ignored it and dutifully took my benedryl. On the fourth day, I had sharp stomach pains and nausea, so I went to the doctor; expecting to get a shot, some prescribed meds, and be told to go home and rest. Instead, the doc told me to go to the hospital for fluids. I was severely dehydrated. Yikes!
I am fine now; it passed in a day or two. But I almost missed Thanksgiving dinner!
Be careful; we dehydrate faster now. Drink plenty of water and protein, especially when feeling a little sick.

I'm down on myself. I've gained fifteen pounds and am not feeling at all good about myself. Could partly be do to this virus that I have been fighting for over a week. I also have pink eye. Finally saw a doctor today for some antibiotics. But the motivation to go to the gym and work off this extra weight just is not there. Any suggestions out there?
Thanks
Dianne

Hi Rhonda,
I just posted about my full body lift experience, what an trip!! You guys know how much I lllluvvvvv to type lol. Wish I had pictures to share but am waiting for the ps to make copies for me. My breasts were so saggy and empty that the ps told me that I needed implants and I told him I would do just fine without big boobs for once in my life! His staff said that I should listen to him, that when he says no volume he means FLAT CHESTED. Well, I could never imagine myself like that and didn't want to listen to them and they just insisted that I needed to listen to him and so I did and elected the saline. I'm glad they insisted, I'm really happy with the way they look, I did need them. I really think that if you want them, get them!!!!!! Just do it!
Glad to hear from you, good luck.
Take care,
Syndi
Topic: RE: Gained, but losing again!
Hey lou ann,
Thanks for posting your menu, was kinda wondering what everyone else is eating. I still have problems with gas and constipation at times. I'm still recovering from my plastics surgery and the swelling.

Topic: Full Body Lift on 7/5/06
Hey everyone,
I made it through the full body lift on 7/5/06!!!! I even had to get boob implants. Man has this road been rough.
I actually had a lbl, lower face lift with neck lift, thighplasty, breast lift with implants and additional abdominal skin lift below the breasts. Oh, and I had this all done at the same time, talk about pain.
Now, the plastic surgeon is telling me I need some tweeking. The thigh scars go allthe way down and curve around the front of the knees. He removed a total of about 11lbs of skin that day. The scars are pretty heavy, I'm waiting for him to give me copies of the before and after.
Well, just thought I'd share.
Take care,
Syndi

I am doing okay. Down 190 lbs and holding. I would love to lose another 15 lbs, which would put me around 165. With my tt I figure I would lose another 15 lbs which would put me around 150. Can't see me affording a tt for another year or so. I have Kaiser...talk about an insurance company that SUCKS! But that is a whole nother story. Thrive! HAH! I miss everyone posting on our board. We need to keep writing.
