Stacy, You are NOT a failure! Rebound of some weight is very common at the 2yr mark so I'm sure your dr will not be surprised and 10lbs is not terrible. You are not alone~in the last year I have had fluxuations of up to 10lbs too. Even with that extra 10lbs I am still at a normal bmi, but I do not feel comfortable at the heavier end so I just work my tool and take it right back off. The good news is that the tool still works when I get back to basics, push protein, drink lots of water and exercise. Good Luck with your appt and please let us know how it goes!

HI again MJ!!!! Just replied to you on the Grad's Board, but I wanted to say that weighing is my maintenance plan too. I do a daily weigh in so I know exactly where I am from day to day and I monitor the natural fluxuations that go on with my body (like around that time of the month, etc). I have found it very helpful and like you, if I gain a few pounds, then I get on top of it right then! Congratulations again!

Tracy,
Glad you started this thread. I am glad to see us all still working on ourselves.
I am maintaining at my goal of 125. As this is my 2 year from wls it is also 1 year out from plastics.
I check the scale weekly and have been doing great. If I see any up on the scale of 3 lbs I eliminate carbs for a day or 2 and come right back to 125. So life is good for me.
Hugs to all

Topic: Happy 2 years out to US, Doing great
Well it has been a long time since I have posted here.
I am almost (17th) 2 years out since WLS and 1 year (24th) since my plastics. January is the new birthmonth for me LOL.
I have moved from NY to Florida and am loving the warmth here, although NY has been having a very warm winter as well.
I am maintaining at 125 lbs and feel wonderful. I have healed well from my plastics and now feel the 1st part of my journey is complete.
I check my weight weekly and make sure I don't gain anything. If i see the scale move more than 3 lbs I cut out any extras til I get back to 125. That is how I keep maintaining. All my labs have been excellent and I go for a stress test on my heart later this month. My new cardiologist is happy with all of my results and just wants to do a current one so he has recors on me here in Florida.
Despite all of my complications after my WLS I am so happy I made this very Life-Altering decision.
I feel so alive now. I will be 51 next month and have NEVER felt so young and Alive! I only wish I had been able to do this in my younger days :>
Praying all of you have a wonderful journey.
I want to thank all of you for all of the inspiration, answers and information I have gained from OH during the years I have been reading here.
Love & Hugs
MJ

to the doctor day after tommorrow. I am ten pounds heavier than I was a year ago and I am afraid that I am a failure, What can I do, I feel really lost. I keep asking every one if the old me is back. Is anyone else in the same boat or does this ship sail alone. I am lost, please help me with some advice. Stacy

I look at the calendar and can not believe it's been two years since WLS. I am so happy and it has become my life. I am so proud of myself taking control of my health and sticking with it. I have not had success with weight for more than a month before surgery and now here it is two years.
Congrats to all of us! even those that have gained a little we have come along way baby.
