Topic: RE: The Holidays are coming
OK Jamie, just reading your post made me "hungry"! I'd love a copy of all of your revamped holiday recipes if you don't mind sharing. We share Thanksgiving dinner with another family and it is my year to "host" the dinner. I usually do a big spread, very similar to what you served, so any wls-friendly recipes will find a good home with me!
Thanks!

PS - If you have any sugar free or low sugar cookie recipes please share those as well. I host an annual cookie exchange and I want to surprise everyone with a low or sf cookie that is delicious.

Yeah that is what I do, I make sure to go sugar free and I always get lattes; thing is.... I can't do caffine! The one time I tried it I was in su*****readable pain... it tore up my intestines in knots for over an hour!
I LOVE FRUIT TOO!! I can't get enough of it! I put it in my cereal, my oatmeal, my low carb icecream, in everything that I can.... I LOVE IT!!!
Yeah when I am craving fatty foods, I let myself take a few bites or try to go for a healthier alternative. For example, for bacon I eat one serving of the Oscar Meyer Microwavable bacon. OK and this might sound gross but... I was raised on SOS, corned beef hash and SPAM.... so when the mood strikes and I crave one of those I get the low fat or turkey alternatives. Lite Spam and Turkey spam are actually pretty good! (I never thought I would say that about Spam!) And the low fat hormel hash is really good!
LOL! See I am more human than you folks think.... hehehehe

Topic: RE: Who hasn't lost 100 lbs?
I have been a slow looser the whole time... I have only lost 74 lbs... My surgeon wants it to be more... But I think that I am doing just fine... I am very pleased with what I have lost and how I am looking... I'm a little jealous of you not having loose skin anywhere... Wish I could say the same.. LOL... Keep up the good work...
Topic: RE: Help! Gall Bladder! SOS!
Hi pat, only took actigall for a month. Decided on my own that I had too many pills to take. That wasnt very smart of me. Unsure of what this sludge is and what they can do for me. Makes eating very uncomfortable. Huggss stacy
Topic: RE: Let's talk vitamins & supplements!
I take the vista vitamins packets, iron, b-12, and nexium. I take them in three sittings through out the day. My labs came back ok, a little low on iron, but not anemic. That is mostly because I forget my vitamins allot. I have done better this week though and just have to keep it up.

Ok I will have to admit I am very bad, I can not get through a meal with out having something to drink. I do not drink allot, but I do have a few sips, and I know I eat less then I need to because of it, but I just feel like I am chocking if I can not drink.
For my sweet tooth, sugar free mini chocolate bars. One usually curbs the need, unlike pre surgery when I could eat a bag of the real stuff.
Carbs, I need fruit, I eat one piece a day to curb my carb craving and to lend a healthy boost to my diet. However if it bread I want, I will have a few bites of bread, after you have chewed that to liquid, you pretty much do not need more.
I also get a craving for fatty foods on occasion, like in the mornings sometimes I want hash browns really bad. So I give myself 1-2 bites of it and through the rest away.
I get the need for coffee too. I tend to just have coffee for breakfast on many days. I felt bad about this for so long, then I talked to the nurse at my doctors office and she said it was ok, because I get a latte and it has allot of protein. So I drink sugar free non-fat vanilla lattes.

Unfortunatley my partner and I broke up, she has somethings that she needs to take care of here in the states and it has been a real bumpy road even before my surgery, so I feel that it is best for both of us.

Topic: RE: Whats sagging
My former double and triple chins are now one ugly turkey neck.
My former fat tummy is now an apron of skin.
My formerly fat arms are now giant batwings .
My inner thighs are ripples of skin.
My boobs are down to my navel, now.
I am 47 years old, and ready for PS. I plan to get a thread lift in June. Then the arms and tummy. The legs are not in the picture 'cause I can't afford anymore PS.
A boob lift MIGHT happen when I'm 50.

Hi Stacy! I was just wandering if you have been taking Actigall after your WLS for your Gall bladder? My doctor wants me to take it at least another couple of months.
