Topic: Went Ice Skating!!
Hello everyone, I just had to post and tell that my son,he is 14, and I went Ice Skating last Saturday. I have only been like twice in my life and my son had never been at all. Although he does play indoor roller hockey. He was like a natural and I hugged the wall for the first 2 or 3 rounds. I was so nervous because I didn't want to fall. I thought to myself that I didn't have the padding on the back side like I used to I guess I skated about 30 minutes and I was done. Needless to say my son did way many more laps than me!! It was very weird to skate without all the weight. It was hard to balance the new me. I did feel as if people weren't looking at how fat I was, just at how bad a skater I was. That was a good feeling to have the focus taken off of my weight. The other good thing is that I didn't fall!!! We had a great time and we will be going again. My son wants to transition from roller hockey to ice hockey. Thanks for listening!!! Becky P. 271/168.5/160

You know I look at old pictures of myself and I think the same thing. How fat I was and how gross I was. I am so much happier now. I will miss alot of desserts this year at Christmas but I keep telling myself that it is so worth it. LOL You are looking awesome congrats on the wow moment. Suzanne

I understand, all of a sudden I want all kinds of bread and chips. I think now is where we have to prove that we have learned how to eat. I find myself having to convince myself that health is better then bread. This does not mean that once in awhile I can not have the sourdough bread I love so much, but when I do I will have to keep the portion to one slice and savor it at that time. Jenn

I ran into Saul, from last years' Christmas party. He didn't recognize me until my hubby introduced me again. (Hubby also looks great!) Saul gave me a picture from last Christmas of hubby and me around the Christmas tree. OMG!!!!!!!! I can't believe I used to be that FAT!!!!!FAT,FAT,FAT, HUGE, GROSS, YUK!!!!! I can't wait until this year's party!!! I am going to wear my new Black, beaded backless dress. WOO HOO!!! (Although I am going to miss hanging out at the milk chocolate fondue fountain. SNIFF!)

Topic: HUNGRY!!!!!
I am hungry for all kinds of stuff all of the sudden. I never used to like junk food, I only overate gourmet meals like Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, etc. NOW, I am craving and eating firehot cheetoes, fruit cups, cheese, and crunchy stuff. I can't eat much, but I am definitely eating more than two weeks ago. After surgery, I NEVER got hungry. Now, I am snacking between meals on protein bars and peanuts. WHAZZUP?!! I am still losing, but slowly....about 2 lbs every 2 weeks. Anybody else experiencing this?

Hi Mary! I am in the same situation as you. I had lap rny on January 10, 2005 and have lost 99-1/2 pounds so far. I started out at 261 and am currently at 162. I am only 5 feet tall, so my original goal was 110 pounds. Now because of my frustration, I'm thinking that if I reach 120-125 pounds, maybe I should just be satisfied. My doctor also told me he thinks that would still be great. I have also tried increasing my protein intake without any success. Since we all had surgery in January, 2005, maybe at this point this is not unusual, but I am still frustrated. Well, let's just try to think positive and support each other. Thank you for being there!! Have a wonderful week! Aloha, Pat 261/162/goal 120-125?
